Right In Front Of Me the Whole Time
"Hey, Xion." I walked sadly over to the raven haired girl. She smiled.
"He…Rox, what's wrong?" She asked with concern in her eyes. I gave her a weak smile.
"Aww, nothing, just that Olette…dumped me. Why can't I ever find the right girlfriend?" I was trying to hold back the tears. Xion's head went down so her bangs covered her eyes.
"Oh." She said softly and shook her head. Time passed and she still had her head like that. That's when my phone went off.
"Gotta take this." I smiled as I held up my phone.
"…" was my answer, so I shrugged and walked to a dark alley.
"ROXAS ROXAS ROXAS ROXAS ROXAS!" was all I heard Axel scream.
"When you know how to say something other than my name, get back to me." I was about to hang up when Axel stopped me.
"NO NO NO! Hold on! I need to know where my sister is!" Axel shouted and I rolled my eyes.
"With me, as always." I smiled.
"She needs to come! Your brother called, he said Kairi is having her baby!" Axel squealed. I gasped and hung up the phone.
"Xion! Kairi is having the baby!" I screamed out.
"That's great…" she was still with her head down. I grabbed her hand and pulled her to the small white car I owned and we drove to the hospital.
"Congrats, it's a girl!" The doctor announced as the baby cried.
"What will we name her?" Sora asked his wife. Kairi thought.
"Aqua…she will be Aqua." Kairi smiled with relief in her voice. Xion looked at the baby with sad eyes and the baby smiled at her. Xion looked at me and Namine and she ran out of the room.
"Xi!" I screamed, but she was already down the hallway. I looked at Namine with confusion and she did the same, and I ran out of the room after her. I found her crying in a little corner in the waiting room.
"Xion, what's wrong?" I asked with concern for my friend.
"IT WILL NEVER BE!" she cried. I gave her a confused look.
"What do you mean?" I asked. And she threw her arms around me.
"I mean all that fantasizing that maybe one day you would be mine! You will never love me!" she cried out.
"What? I do love you, Xi." I smiled.
"I mean as your girlfriend! You can never see the obvious, can you? Are you that blind that this person right in front of you has loved you ever since we first met?" she asked, and I was in shock.
"You know what, forget it. I knew you wouldn't care." She sniffled as she stood up. I grabbed her wrist before she could walk away and I twirled her into my arms. She looked up at me with a tear stained face and she glanced down. I didn't know how long I had actually wanted to do that until she was in my arms. I smiled and slowly lowered my head and kissed her softly on the lips. She blushed in a daze, and I chuckled.
"I never knew that the girlfriend that I always wanted was right in front of me the whole time." I looked Xion in the eyes. The expression her eyes showed was…joy. I smiled.
"Rox, I've loved you for so many years. You were my childhood companion. My middle school match. And now my high school honey." She smiled sweetly as she hugged me.
"I'm such a fool…I'm as blind as Riku was when he wore that dumb blindfold for a month…okay, Axel made him, but still." I laughed and she did too. I looked into her beautiful eyes and kissed her on the top of her head.
"Xion, I am forever yours and you are forever mine." I whispered softly into her ears.
"Yes." She whispered back and we sat in the waiting room.
