So this is my first story. I thought I'd do a real quick one for my first story or chapter! Don't know if I want to continue it or not. Tell me what you think. I've never done a fan-fic DunDunDuuuunnn so bear with me and all constructive criticism encouraged for help on my behalf! There are thousands of HP fan-fics on here! I hope someone finds mine :(!
The New One
Luna slide down the tree branch where she had been casually reading The Paths of Astronomy and relaxing on the warm Thursday afternoon. Something had torn her attention away from the mysterious of the pages. There was a commotion across the grounds that could be overheard throughout Hogwarts! Luna normally didn't get involved in such ridiculous concerns of others, but there was a very intriguing and unfamiliar voice emitting from a rather large group of students. Luna crept closer to the group that was rapidly growing in population and soon spotted Draco! He, of course, could not miss an opportunity to pry into other's affairs. In most cases, Luna thought, he was the instigator of a good share of Hogwart's upheavals!
"Why not just go back to your filthy shanty if you can't handle it, cowardly Mudblood!" Draco sneered at a young girl that bunched up on the ground.
She was crying and muttering while she ripped at the grass! 'Where's her wand!' Luna thought. Other students continued to ridicule along the lead of Draco. Rocks, dirt and spells began to fly through the air toward the girl! Luna wondered frantically where all the professors and authority where at this point! No one was helping! Everyone was either watching, laughing, or harassing! Luna's thoughts were abruptly interrupted.
The girl began screaming an incantation! Her voice rang out so shrill that Luna could not bear it! She snapped her hands to her ears, closed her eyes and kneeled to the ground as did the all the other on lookers. The sound echoed on for what seemed like hours! Then silence returned. Luna cracked her eyes open and slowly raised her head. The girl was hunched low over sickly colored soil and heaving deep rasps. She was running her dark gaze over everyone who stared and had threatened. The students were still and waited for her next move. The girl simply limped away.
