When Christine is kept awake by the biggest decision she'll ever have to make, her Angel of Music once again comes to sing her to sleep…

Three Little Notes
You sit on the bench and begin to play
Three rising notes slowly floating my way.
Three little notes stopped my heart,
Took it out, and ripped it apart.
Three little notes as those parts hit the ground,
Thudding so softly, blocking out sound.
Three fading notes made my soul cry,
Then rising back up, they wiped the tears dry.
A change in the tempo, and I catch my breath.
My stuttering heartbeat comes to a rest.
Three soft little notes is the music we make,
If this is a dream, I don't want to wake.
You don't need to look at the keys as you play;
Your gaze stays on me and the world starts to sway.
Floating, falling, through the abyss,
I start to surrender to your music's sweet kiss.
Then, the notes start to fade, the music we've made,
Disappears with the darkness as Night turns to Day.
I start to cry as you get up to leave.
The Angel takes with him all I believe.
Three fading notes as you walk out the door,
Three soft little notes as my tears hit the floor.
I toss and I turn, I open my eyes,
To find you're still with me, my Angel of Night.
Then three rising notes you so softly play,
You look in my eyes, it'll all be okay.
A/N: The song that Erik is playing for Christine is Beethoven's Quasi una Fantasia, more popularly known as Moonlight Sonata or Piano Sonata 14…and no, I don't own.
