Ages Past
I sang a song of sorrow
Of pain, and loss, and seas.
I daydream of a long-lost land
Free of all disease.
My tears fall for
The light that's gone.
The lore that's passed away.
My soul mourns for
The lovers who
Defied the natures way.
I stare into the sky at night
And listen to the breeze
It's whispering the Valar's song
That's drifting from the Seas.
My heart sings for
The fallen Trees
The Light that we have lost.
My soul is singing
For the Stones
The Elven-kind once lost.
I'm searching for a brighter light,
Purer than that of Day.
To hold the Darkened flame of Doom,
Of Melkor, far away.
I'm waiting here
And searching for
The lives of Kindred past.
For happiness has lost me
since the Fading
Came to pass.
