Commander Repede
"All right troops listen up!" Repede barked, seizing the attention of the group of puppies. "As your commander it's my job to teach you how the world works and how we dogs rule it."
"We do?" asked one puppy in the front, wagging his tail.
"Of course we do," Repede growled back. "The first lesson is knowing the types of humans to deal with. The first type is the 'Don't bother with' type. As long as you don't look at them, they'll normally leave you alone. However, if they attack you, then you must retaliate by biting and growling."
"And we treat all humans like that?" asked another puppy.
Repede shook his head. "No, no, you rookies need to let me finish. There's the second type of human, the fun kind. These are the humans that you ignore, but because they're naive they'll try to do everything to get your attention." He grinned. "But don't give it to them."
"Why?"
"Because the more you ignore them, the more they'll do stuff for you. See that pink-haired hard one over there? First week I ignored her she gave me a steak for dinner."
"REALLY?" all the puppies whined together.
"Yes, and that leads us to the last type, the rare 'Earned your respect' type. These are the humans that you actually bother to listen to and who deserve your loyalty, but these are few and each one has to earn it from you."
One puppy shook his head, his little brain rattling from all the information. "How are we supposed to tell the difference between each human?"
"You can usually tell by the smell and look of them, but my advice is to go by instinct." Repede stood. "Speaking of instinct, let's move on to lesson two. Learning how to mark your territory, that's vital."
"Yes sir!" the puppies barked.
Staring at the group, Raven uneasily rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm not sure having Repede teach those stray puppies was a good idea."
"I'm with you," Rita replied. "I think it's a disaster waiting to happen."
"What are you talking about?" Estelle asked. "It's adorable to see Repede as a teacher. Don't you agree Yuri?"
The swordsman shrugged. "I don't know if it's good or bad, just as long as Repede and his little army don't get into trouble."
"I'll bet five gald they'll get into trouble within ten minutes," Karol replied from his seat on top of the crate.
Judith laughed as Estelle narrowed her eyes. "Well, I think Repede will be a great influence-"
"WHAT ARE YOU MUTTS DOING TO MY SHOP?" a shopkeeper suddenly cried.
Rita sighed. "Yeah, a bad influence."
