THUD! Naruto Uzumaki turned around to face the door. He stared at it strangely , suddenly he heard sobbing coming from it.
"Sakura?" Naruto cried out.
"Sakura-chan, are you alright?" He yelled out worriedly.
More sobbing. And more.
He got up from his desk and hurried towards the door. He reached out and opened it.
Kneeling on the floor was Sakura Haruno, crying her eyes out while holding a picture of Team 7.
It was no surprise to Naruto.
"S-Sakura chan." He said and hurried over to his lover comforting her.
It wasn't the first time this has happened. Naruto knew oh so well that Sakura could still be in love with Sasuke, even after their happy ending.
Sakura had admitted to loving Naruto before his battle with Sasuke, that time was sincere.
Sasuke had died after his battle with Naruto, "You win. Congratulations Naruto."
Soon after, Naruto became the 7th hokage. Sakura grew to love him even more. Even realizing her mistakes in the past.
Naruto curled his arms around Sakura tightly behind her, burying his face in her blossom pink hair and closed his eyes sadly.
" Naruto-kun. I'm sorry. I'm sorry Naruto." She whispered. She continued to cry and place her hand on her month to lower her crying tone.
"I won't let you go Sakura. I don't care what happens, I don't care if you don't love me. I will always be here for you." Naruto murmured, his arms squeezing Sakura's body even tighter.
" It will be alright Sakura-chan. I promise my life it will." he vowed.
Sakura now felt safer and warmer, her heart filled with love.
Her hands dropped from her mouth and onto his arm.
She leaned her head closer towards his shoulder.
"Thank-you Naruto. Thank-You for understanding my situation right now. I'm sorry I hurt you. I will try harder to make you happy." She shrieked.
"Sakura..." Naruto spoked.
"I'm already happy, with you by my side." He pointed out.
Sakura smiled.
"What did I do to deserve you?" She admitted.
Her eyes still spilling with tears, happy tears now.
It was midnight.
After about ten minutes Sakura fell asleep in Naruto's arms.
Naruto moved a piece of hair off her cheeks. He stared at her, taking in her beauty. "I love you." He whispered. He placed Sakura's body lightly on the bed, then quietly walked out the room.
She gently opened her eyes as she watched him leave, "Naruto... How could you love a baka like me? I really don't deserve your love." She thought. A sad teardrop slipped down her cheeks, "I'm Sorry Naruto. I will forget him. For us." Sakura tugged on her blanket, and sobbed quietly into it.
