Part II – Secrets of the Divine Creatures

Our story begins where the last left off. Yugi encounters Akahito, the kingpin of a thousand-year old race, whom Yami is vaguely connected to. With Anzu's life on the line, Yugi and Yami must not only duel to restore memories of the pharaoh's past life, but preserve those of Anzu's! The action mounts as the Chapters continue in this five-part trilogy.

"I'll begin the duel Akahito," said Yami in a commanding voice.

"Go ahead my good fellow," responded Akahito. The life point score on the Duel Disks escalated to four thousand.

"I'll begin with the Retrained Elven Swordsman, in Attack Mode," said Yami.

"Next up, I'll add Demon Axe, raising my Swordsman's attack (2400). Now he's invincible, since his effect prevents monsters with attack over 1900 from destroying him."

"Excellent move Yami, most excellent. But your Swordsman's effect is useless the power that of a Divine Creature," explained Akahito.

"What do you mean?"

"The Divine Creatures were created by Pegasus J. Crawford, in the early stages of his Duel Monsters creations. Like the Egyptian God Cards, he sealed the Divine Creatures in mystical tombs, each never to be released,"

"Tombs?"

"Yes Yami tombs. They were tombs that seemingly impossible to penetrate, until the Black Card Thieves Generation X came along. We managed to retrieve two of the five cards, and I am fortunate enough to wield one of them within my deck,"

"Oh no,"

"Oh yes. Dark Obelisk rests within the crevices of my deck, waiting its turn to seal the pharaoh within his Millennium Puzzle. But I've given out too much information already, so let's finish this duel. I'll play Curse of Anubis,"

"That card switches my card's position to Defense Mode, and reduces its defense to 0,"

"Yes. Now I'll summon Dark Rabbit (1100) in Attack Mode, and add Fairy Meteor Crush. Now my rabbit, destroy his elf!" shouted Akahito, commanding his hologram to attack.

Dark Rabbit hits Yami head on, reducing his life points (Y: 2100). Yami falls to his knees to take a breath, and stands back up. -- We have to beat him Yugi. Somehow I have a feeling that defeating Akahito, will unlock my memories, communicated Yami with Yugi.

"I'll take my turn," said a confident Yami. "And I'll use it by playing Raise Dead, to revive my Swordsman, then I'll sacrifice him to summon, Summoned Skull in Attack Mode (2500).

Yami orders Summoned Skull to attack Dark Rabbit, and successfully reduces Akahito's life points (A: 2600). Yami chuckles at the futile attempt to reduce his life points, by Akahito. --Laugh now pharaoh. For when I imprison you, you won't be laughing at all, thought a seemingly transforming Akahito as he chuckled distortedly.
