It couldn't get any worse. I was stuck inside this escape pod for God knows how long, all I could see was darkness and there was no other position possible other than curling myself in a ball while squishing some guy I don't know anything about under my butt. Oh, the humiliation.
"This bunker was made for one person, dammit!" I jerked my foot in anger and suddenly there was a small, moist spot on my foot. Ew.
"Stay calm, woman! That's my face over there!" his voice was baritone with a hint of British accent. He chided, "If you still have might for bunfight you better save it for later once we land."
"Don't even try to tell me off, you little-" Boom! A blow struck the pod and suddenly my stomach had this sinking, tickling feeling. My life was flashing before my eyes and the ship crashed into the ground with a bam.
The hatch slid open, and I hurried to squeeze my way out. The ground was rocky with hints of moss. It was bright enough to see the seemingly endless plain that laid before my eyes. Shivers ran through my spine. Man, it was cold. Out from the frying pan, into the freezer...
I looked back and stared at the jerk from before. My eyes met his emerald ones. "Haven't caught your name."
"I'm Tom. Tom Hiddleston." He brushed back a lock of hair in an attempt to tidy 'em up. He was long legged and well built. His rugged spacesuit With fair complexion and long raven hair, I had to admit that he was hot.
"So I guess we're going to pick out the moss from the rocks here to eat when we run out of provisions..." I said as I stared at the nearly lifeless turf. It gave an impression that survival was beyond hope.
"Don't jinx it. Look over here," Tom tinkered with his console. "There's supposed to be a beach to the north. Hope we can find some Earthlings."
So the journey began. The console was our only ray of light. There really was nothing other than the ground and the occasional dust gust. No scenery to be described of except the barbie pink sky and the ground that gets sandier with every step we take. The beach was near.
"This can't be right..." Tom rushed to the shore as fast as his feet allowed him to.
There was an enormous trench which replaced the sea. No, the trench was the ocean. That's why the sky wasn't blue... The ocean wasn't there to reflect its color!
Tom threw his guts out. The smell of dead under-the-sea inhabitants seemed too much for him. Stars were absent from the now pitch-black heavens. Should we give up hope?
