He stopped walking. "Granger."

"Hm?" She turned her head, looking at him.

He held out the small yellow flower to her. She blushed lightly and took it, twirling it around in her fingers. "Thank you, Malfoy."

"Those things turn into dandelions, don't they?"

She looked from the flower to him, "Yes. But I doubt it'll be turning into a dandelion now that you've picked it." She giggled softly.

He put his hands in his pockets as they continued walking. "Still warrants a wish though, wouldn't you say?"

She pressed her lips together, thinking. "Well, you go for it, since you picked it."

He looked up at the sky, as though he were trying to think of a wish.

"Well…I guess…" he looked at her, his hair falling into his eyes.

She extended the flower to him. He closed his palm around it, before opening it back up to let the wind carry it away.

"What'd you wish for?" she asked quietly.

He scoffed, smiling to himself and lowering his head. "Um," he scratched the back of his neck, "That you'd call me by my first name."

The blush returned to her cheeks as she smiled. "That's a waste of a wish…" she whispered.

"I don't think it is," he carefully linked his hand with hers, "Hermione." His voice cracked.

She couldn't wipe off her smile, and she shook her head before looking up at him. "All you had to do was ask, Draco."

A/N: I know I keep doing short drabbles lately, but this was stuck in my head! Enjoy ^^
