She chased her old lover down the dark empty corridor praying for him to stop and return to her when she called him again. After a while he turned anger written on his features.

"I said it's over, so stop following me!"

"Why? Why are you doing this?"She pleaded.

"You knew it wasn't forever" he spat harshly.

"But that's not a reason!"She cried out.

"And?" With that he turned and walked away from her. Forever.

Alone she slide to the floor and silently wept to the stars, asking for the stars to fix it. But deep inside she knew he was gone.

Soon her sadness lessened and her anger and frustration grew, crying wasn't enough. Getting up she walked to her room and pulled out her razor from the cupboard and raised it slightly. Down it came. Again. And again.

Eventually she broke down crying again in an ever growing pool of ruby.

She had felt alone and forgotten and in the end that was enough to end it all.
