Introduction:
Hey guys! So here's first fan fic I wrote, dedicated to one of my OTPs - Smillan.
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan should really get married already!
I don't own the characters, although I really love Matt. 3
I just wrote the crappy story:P
Summary:
Patrick broke up with Karen and she had an emotional breakdown, she nearly bumped into a truck in the heavy rain but Matt appeared and saved her. The two best friends got themselves into an ambiguous relationship and Matt revealed a big secret.
Chapter 1
"Beep-!"
The beeping sound from Karen's mobile informed the owner that she received a text. The red-hair girl put down the toast she half-finished and checked her phone.
I'm sorry Kaz. We're over.
Pat
Karen sat up straight and stared at her phone, is this a joke? Is today 1st April? The ginger checked the date, it's 6th May. She stayed still for awhile to calm herself down and dialed Patrick's number.
"Ring~Ring~" C'mon, pick up the phone, Pat. Don't mess with me.
"Hello?"
It's him. Patrick's clear and deep voice, he sounded just as usual.
"Pat. It's me. Kaz." The red hair tried to sound calm.
"Ah Kaz. Right. It's your number." He wasn't surprised.
"Why did you break up with me?"
"I'm so sorry Kaz, I just uh-"
Karen burst out, "you had a new girlfriend?"
"No it's not like that. It's just...Jane doesn't want us to be together." Jane Lavender is Patrick's best friend, she wanted to be his girlfriend once but Pat only treats her as a younger sister. Jane gave up at last but she's still really close with Patrick.
"Since when Jane is in charge of our relationship?" Karen admitted that she's jealous of this Jane.
"...I just can't get attached with you anymore, I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you everything but it's not the right time yet." He answered wearily.
"Alright." We're over now, why'd I care?
"You'll find a better person, Kaz."
Karen put down her phone, her brain couldn't function properly, she finished her toast and left the house unconsciously. It's raining cats and dogs out there in the street, Karen didn't bring along her umbrella, but she's unaware of the heavy rain, she just kept walking...
