With Regret
Gaius' hand hovered over the switch. It really was a shame he'd actually come to like the lieutenant. He'd been annoying at first, but his eagerness and admiration combined with a surprisingly high level of intelligence and scientific curiosity had grown on him.
They'd never be friends. Gaius has never had friends only colleagues and rivals and frequently they'd been one and the same, but he'd enjoyed working with Gaeta.
However, the lieutenant was too clever for his own good and with a sigh Gaius made green become red and opening the Comm he said,
"Commander, it's about Lieutenant Gaeta…"
