Author's note: I do not own Boy Meets World. Also, let's be totally honest, of course Topanga would let Cory wear a ring from Shawn. Of course she would.

Cory collapsed onto the couch. He was exhausted after a night of dancing, drinking, and eating more than his fair share of cake.

"I think Rachel picked a good one."

"She did. I think it'll last, which is good. I don't have it in me to go to any more weddings for about 80 years," Shawn said, clearly exhausted.

"Yeah, I saw you sneak out for an hour. You should've taken me with you. I could've used a break too."

"I had an errand to run," he replied, but didn't elaborate.

"Don't get me wrong, Shawnie, I love weddings. I really do. Seeing everyone together, dancing, watching two people who love each other exchange rings and vows and just declare their feelings. It's beautiful. I hope you get that one day. Come on, there's gotta be someone in your life now, right?"

"It's funny you should say that, Cor." He took a small bag out of his jacket. "At every wedding we go to, I sit there during the ceremony listening to people talk about soul mates and you're always sitting next to me. I hope you always are. Here."

Cory took the bag from Shawn and looked inside. He took out two rings.

"You're my best friend, Cory. Every person in every wedding is talking to the love of their life, but for me, that's not a girlfriend or any romantic partner-it's you. I love you, Cory. You're the love of my life. You're my soulmate."

Cory didn't know how to respond other than to slip the ring onto his finger and reach for Shawn's hand to do the same.

"I love you too, Shawn. I always will."

Shawn leaned forward and kissed Cory on the forehead.

"Thank you, Cory. Thank you for that."
