Summary: Inner thoughts through the eyes of the so called son of Satan and questions of what it means to also be human and have a soul
They asked him if he was human.
They asked him if he cared about his brother.
They asked him if he called the old man his father.
They questioned him if he was a demon?
They tried to prove he had no human soul.
So many questions to asked and yet the young man could never give them they answers they wanted to hear to stop so many questions asked him. Yes he had once thought himself to be human and have a soul once when he was normal. Yes he did care for his brother and loved him with ever questioning that one and felt angry they even questioned him on that. Yes he did think of the old man who raised him to be his father figure and not Satan.
Yet was he a demon?
This was the one question he asked himself more then any on moments his mind grew to wrap around his life to this point. Often recalling those moments those flames had raptured from his soul and comusmed his thoughts in dark emotions. Hearing the whispers of shadows to pull him to do evil acts always in the back ground even when standing in the light of the day.
Always those whispers telling him to rip his claws into his brothers exposed throat in deep sleep or let loose his flames on his classmates and friends to burn them alive and eat in their screams of pain like it was a sweet candy in his month. Always did those thoughts pull on his mind even when waking and when sleeping every day?
Yet why did he not give in? Why did these thoughts not consumed his mind and soul? Simply it might have been his inner willpower to resist these sinful temptations his blood called for. Still it was also the simple bounds he had made that kept the demon at bay in his mind. The bound of his brother who kept loneliness away just by being there in form. The bounds of his friends and learning about them and watching them live. Never before he had friends till this point in his life and it was something he would protect from any demon of hell.
Or also it was the one man in his life who had protected him from the moment he had come to life in those years ago. Teaching him to walk a moral path and gently holding his hand in those steps with a kind smile of pure encouragement and accepting only a father could have for his son. It was his father that kept the demon at bay and the memories of him in bleak moments that brought out the light.
Yes he was a demon and also a human.
But he was also a demon that could love and care for others, something maybe heaven or hell had never seen.
He was a demon also with a human soul and had choices in his life.
That was what he was.
