Lila's Story
******************
I remember my old home in the country. We had lots of horses on our farm. I remember my favourite, Bonnie Bell. Oh, she was a sweetie. I raced her in lots of state races, and won every one of 'em. But then my parents lost ever so much money and we had to move to the city to earn more money. ANd we had to sell Bonnie Bell! Oh, that was the saddest day of my life. I thought I'd never be happy again, and certinally never fall in love. Oh, I knew it when boys fell in love with me. Like that Arnold kid. But I couldn't love him back. "I like you, but I don't like like you," I would repeatedly tell him. I thought no man I ever loved would love me back. But then I met Jason.
