Author's Note: Originally written for a Drabble Challenge over on InsaneJournal. The prompt was "Amnesia". It had to be exactly 100 words.
She sometimes feels like there's something on her back. Or like there's something niggling at the back of her mind; invisible in the very corner of her periphery. It's not really describable, but it's a bit like when you know you've forgotten something, and don't remember what.
She's had weird dreams, too, ever since the world went mad and started talking about the sky changing. Between that and her old granddad with his telescope and overactive imagination (the onset of dementia, more like) she sometimes thinks that she's the only sane one left. Anyway, she's stopped eating cheese before bed.
