Falling. It's a curious sensation. There's a moment of weightlessness where you seem to forget that you're falling. It's the moment where you're suspended in time and you can't really bring yourself to care about what happens. Then the moment passes and you hit the ground. When I hit the ground, I didn't hurt. My body felt fine but when I opened my eyes, it was pitch black. There was nothing. No pain, no light, no people. Nothing. Then. A figure came out of the darkness bringing a small amount of light with it. It was massive and hideous. Its skin was black and scaly. It had three heads and a spiked tail. It had massive black wings and sharp claws and teeth. Did I mention it was huge? I stood as it crawled closer to me.
"Aw, Gabriel, my play toy is back," it hissed in triumph.
"Yes, I'm back," I replied. I had never felt more alone.
