Summary: A drabble about Martha after getting out.
Author's Note: Doctor Who isn't mine. The title comes from "Ghosts" by Laura Marling.

The first time she sees Tom Milligan there is relief. He looks up from his chart, glancing over the new registrars. He catches her eye and smiles. She ignores the absence of fluttering in her heart.

She is not surprised when he asks her out for dinner. He walks her home after, and he kisses her goodnight. She does not think about genetic transfers.

She asks him one day to imagine having a binary vascular system. He prattles on about the benefits of improved respiration for thirty minutes. He asks her the next day to marry him. She says yes.
