Disclaimer: The usual (Sigh).

Christy sighed and pushed herself off the sofa. How she had gotten herself talked into this she didn't know. Wait yes she did it was because of his eyes. Yes his eyes that's what it was he knew she couldn't say no to his eyes. When he looked at her like that and they sparkled when he was in trouble just like the children. Christy rested a hand on her stomach no, she couldn't blame the eyes because she hoped that their baby would have his eyes.

Well she could blame his smile that was it. Definitely he knew it melted her every time even if it did infuriate her every once in awhile. Especially when he thought something she did was funny. The baby kicked her hand, "Alright fine not his smile."

She walked out into the kitchen. She had to blame him for something but what. His voice never helped much. Just a few simple words could send her knees to shaking. Course that same voice could make her mad quicker than anyone else or send her into fits of laughter just as quickly. Even when he was correcting her his voice was gentle and never harsh or teasing even when she deserved it.

Couldn't blame him for his hair, no matter how much she tried she'd given up on taming that. His personality definitely not, though she could blame him for passing his stubbornness on to the next generation already. She sighed and looked out the window, alright she had no one really to blame, but it was rather fun to think of him any way.

Christy sat in the bed holding her new son as Miss Alice moved around. He was perfect, everything she had hoped and prayed for. He looked like his father which Christy was grateful for. Of Course he didn't listen like his father and decided to come early and during a rain storm, but then again that was how she met his father, well before the rainstorm any way.

She kissed his closed fist gently and smiled at the thatch of red hair on his forehead. She hoped that some day he would have his fathers voice, perhaps not exactly the same with a mix of the mountains, but she knew he'd have his gentle spirit and her desire to learn. She looked up when the door opened and Alice let the drenched father into the room. "Are you alright Lass?"

"Perfect."
