13sTaLk13: Yeah, I know, another new story in another new category, but the idea wouldn't leave me alone.
Once upon a time a man died.
This man had the power to bring the stories he wrote to life. A group of people fear the tragedy these stories could bring and so chopped off the man's hands. However, the man who died was writing a story in his own blood when they took them, and he continued to write even after his death.
The stories he wove were all tragedies. The men who'd taken the man who died's hands took the endings from the stories to keep them from coming true, but in they were too late. Stories were already becoming reality.
One story in particular held the town, the one the man who died had been writing in his own blood, titled The Prince and the Raven. Because of one small duck, who took a roll no one from the story even wanted, and the Knight-turned-writer whom held the same power as the man who died, the story ended on a happy note. The town was released from the story and everyone went back to their true forms.
However, the stories with their endings missing still needed to meet their happy endings. With the man who died unable to write anymore the stories despaired of ever ending. Until the Knight took up the pen and began to spin their stories.
These stories that deserved happy endings began to come true and seek out the Knight for help. The duck, being only a duck once more, wished desperately to help the Knight. So the Knight made her his hand in the story. But this ensnared the town in a new tangle of stories.
A new story is being written.
I wonder, will this story be a happy one? A sad one? Or…
