Vanessa helsin also known as van helsin was very emotional because it was going to be her first time going to college as she was getting her suitcase out of the trunk of when her grandmother got out "Vanessa sweetie are you sure you want to do this?" "Yes grandma you said it yourself this is the farthest place away from the city." "Please don't forget to write,and don't go down the same path your parents did." Although her grandmother was right about that path she didn't know the whole thing. The helsins were a famous and feared name for all vampires. Her father was the one who killed vampires while her mother helped newly turned vampires live a normal life and made sure that they never killed a human. Vanessa learned about this when it she had just turned eight years she was secretly reading her parents journal and diary entries and when her parents caught her they decided to train her and within a month she already knew how to fire a crossbow and where to stab a wooden stake. And when she turned thirteen it was her first time killing a vampire and the last time she saw her parents alive. It was night when she heard someone moving in the living room she and her parents got out of went inside as father said "Im warning you to get out as quickly as you can!" Vanessa couldn't see ananything so she turned on the light which was a fatal mistake that sacred her for life. Ten vampires turned around wearing black clothing five female and five male as one of them said "Well well it's been centuries since I've seen a bloodline of hunters. Vanessa's mother looked closely at one of them and said "Oh my god Lilly is that you?!" A blonde vampire stood forward and said "Look at this my little sister anna married to a killer and i suppose the little one is my niece,i suppose she'll make a great addition to our group once we tear you apart." "Lilly you don't have to do this I'll find you a cure i promise." Lilly laughed "Ha you think there's a cure for this and if there was why would I want to be human again im immortal!" "Vanessa go to room n... vanessa?,Vanessa!" Vanessa was now being held by her aunt who moved her fangs closer to the teen's neck. "Don't move or do you want your daughter to have her neck torn of... AHGH!!!" Lilly screamed in pain as a wooden stake was now in her chest. "KILL THEM!!!" Vanessa ran out of the room with her aunt chasing after her as her parents started fighting the rest of the vampires. Vanessa quickly went inside the basement and closed the door. "Open up you B*ch!." Vanessa knew the door wouldn't hold long so she quickly opened her father's gun locker and pulled out shotgun as the door flew off. "Were are you i can smell your sent from here." Vanessa quickly loaded the gun came out of hiding of shot lizzy in the leg. "AHH you really think that would kill me." Lizzy jumped and tackled Vanessa who dropped the gun and was now being choked. "I'll give you two options you can just die right now or you can join me and never have to fear us anymore so what it's going to be?" "Go to Hell!" "Guess it's option one then!" Lizzy lifted her head with her fangs out ready to strike when Vanessa quickly reached for her pocket pulling out a hunting knife and stabbed lizzy in the heart. "AHH THE PAIN!!!" Lizzy fell to the ground as Vanessa pulled out her stake from lizzy's chest and said "Any last words?!" "You can't do it you'll be scarred for life so go F*k yours..." Lizzy didn't get to finish as Vanessa stabbed her heart again as she screamed and then laid dead an the ground. "Im sorry you would have made a great aunt." Vanessa then ran back to the living room as she saw six dead vampires (Not including the one she just killed) as she quickly went upstairs and grabbed her own crossbow from her room. Vanessa then ran back downstairs into the small library they had and as a male vampire jumped on top of her,she quickly fired a bolt as it hit it's head and colacollapsed. "Just two more to go." Screaming was heard as she ran back to the living room where she a female vampire ran for her mother and grabbed her as she pulled her closer to her fangs. "Anna!" "Mom!" Her father quickly aimed for the head when something speed next to him and he looked down to find a knife in his chest and was pushed down by a male vampire who looked much older than the other ones and her mother quickly recognized him "Dracula." Vanessa then quickly shot him only for the bolt to hit the wall were he was standing. Dracula then pushed Vanessa to the ground and said "You may not know me but i am the most feared vampire in the world and your entire family bloodline has always been my greatest challenge ever,so you might think, am i hear to the legacy?" "No but your parents legacy dies now." Dracula nodded as the female vampire drew her fangs on her mother's neck. "NO!!!" Anna using her last bit of strength pulled out a spray bottle and spayed the vampire. "AHH IT BURNS!!!" Dracula then threw Vanessa into a bookshelf where it fell on top of her and knocked her out. Vanessa could only voices, "Master help me the pain!" "It'll be gone but you'll have a scar for life." "And the woman and child?" Vanessa heard what sounded like someone trying to speak but was blocked by something. "AGG AHH." "Let them go im sure she'll want to kill me eventually." Vanessa later woke up and lifted the shelf of her and say that there were still bodies on the floor and something in the corner. "Mom!" Vanessa ran towards her mother but she pulled her hand to tell her to stop "Vanessa you always do what I tell you right?" "Yes why?!" Anna lifted herself a bit and showed her neck that had healed and there was puncher marks on it. "Mom no." "Vanessa helsin i want you to lift the curtains to let the sun in and call mary and wendy tell them what happened and they should clear all of this from the public. (Mary was a police sergeant who anna had saved from a group of vampire assassins, and wendy was a witch who anna had befriended a when they were in high school.) "Mom you know what happens when a vampire get exposed to sunlight!" "That's why I want you to do it,just lift the curtains and call them and go upstairs,trust me." "I love you mom." "I love you too sweetie." Vanessa quickly lifted the curtains and ran upstairs to her room closed the door and started crying in her pillow as she heard her mother's screams "AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH AHH!!!" A few hours later she heard someone knock she closed her eyes and concentrated on finding the door and opened it. Two women where standing on the doorstep as Vanessa quickly ran and hugged both of them "Vanessa what's wrong i got a call from your mother what is it?" Vanessa pointed at the now burned corpses. "Oh god and Anna?" Vanessa started crying when wendy pointed at one of the corpses who was wearing a golden unicorn necklace. "Oh my god vanessa what happened?" Vanessa told them everything and soon wendy cast a spell on the police that showed up to iinvestigate and they determined that it was a hit gone wrong. Vanessa was later sent to live with her grandmother who promised that she would help her with her depression but Dracula was right about one thing that Vanessa would not stop until she killed him and every vampire that stand in her way. The older she got the more determined she was until she had lost track of him and decided that her grandmother was right about the path being dangerous as she was always close to death during her fights with vampires as she always snuck out during the night and started hunting for leads from other vampires until her grandmother caught her lifting her bedroom window and told her "Vanessa you know drinking doesn't help with your depression it's time you got started thinking about something else." Soon she stopped hunting vampires and started hunting for good colleges and universities until she found one far away from the city. "Grandma are you crying?" "It's just that I've lived with you all your life and now your starting a new life your parents would be proud." "Thank you for everything." Vanessa kissed her grandmother's cheek and walked to her dorm.
