( Kid's Pov )
8 weeks.
8 weeks without his stupid grin.
8 weeks without his arms around me.
8 weeks without him saying i love you.
.... who knew 8 could be my enemy.
I sat in my room staring at my cell phone. I was praying it would ring. Prayed for a tex, a call, a voicemail, anything was fine.
Dammit Soul just call me.
Soul had gone out training with maka for two months. It seemed like forever to me. Forever without that perfect grin and his annoying way of saying cool all the time.
I looked out the window and saw the sun disappearing.
I hope your warm....
An image of maka holding MY soul made my eye twitch.
I opened the window and took a deep breath of air and screamed, "SOUL YOU BETTER NOT BE CHEATING ON ME"!
I lessened to my voice echo, was i waiting for someone to say something back. As i thought that my phone played the lullaby that i had been waiting for.
I turned to the phone and picked it up quickly noticing it was a text from him.
I opened the text and read it slowly.
Soul: Hey kid. Sorry if your busy with anything. I was just thinking about you.
A smile formed on my lips as i texted back.
Kid: Don't worry about it,i wasn't doing anything. Where are you?
I sat there staring at my phone. At last the lullaby played and i opened the text.
Soul: Guess.
I blinked. Guess?
Kid: Aren't you training with maka?
He texted back faster this time.
Soul: Nope, want a hint?
I sighed.
Kid: Sheer.
The lullaby played a few minutes later.
Soul: Im so close that i can hold you if i wanted too.
My eyes sparkled. He's that close!!!
I wanted to text, telling him to come over could say without sounding like a girl that hasn't held her bf for 8 weeks.
...I guess that was pretty much me at that point.
I picked up the phone and let my fingers text the words.
Kid: Hold me
I closed my eyes and gripped the phone tight in my hand.
"Soul, i love you".
"And I love you".
I gasped as i felt two strong arms hold me from behind. I know it was him, i know his touch. I was crying, but i wouldn't let him see me so i looking out the window.
I could tell he was smirking, he snuggled his head into my neck.
"Kid, you aren't going to even look at me"?
I didn't answer, my tears were making my throat close, i felt like i wouldn't breath.
He sighed,"Fine". He covered my eyes with his hand and turned me around. I felt him kiss me and my eyes closed making more tears come fall threw his fingers.
I kissed back holding onto him as if i was scared he dissaper from my arms.
I could feel him slide his hand away letting my eyes look into his.
"So....miss me"?
I glared at him threw my tears and kissed him again.
He smiled returning the kiss.
