Old Man
Music glides with the wind
Across the dark night sky
As if it were a bird
Light burns in a dark room
An old man sits and waits
For love lost long ago
Old house sits atop hill
Gravel crunches softly
An owl whispers by
Nothingness a monster
Fumbles on through the land
Old man rocks back and forth
Slowly closes his eyes
Slips into land of dreams
She walks slowly in time
Takes old man by the hand
They begin to embrace
Dancing out the doorway
Floating like a feather
Old man looks back at him
Realizes with fright
She caresses his hand
He looks into her eyes
Music glides with the wind
Across the dark night sky
