Spyro: Unbroken Heart – Oneshot
Very sad story… written for my own amusement…
Hope you enjoy ')
Spyro loomed over the grave. Of his friend, saviour and father. Here lays the legendary fire guardian, Ignitus, A good friend, he was always there when in need, He died an honourable death. A death to save both the dragon realms, and his only son.
Spyro read the words written on the grave stone. He felt a tear slither down his cheek.
"There's nothing wrong with crying…" said the beautiful black dragoness as she walked over to Spyro.
"He was my father…!" Spyro cried as he fell into the warm, comforting arms of Cynder.
"They're all gone… all of them!' Spyro muttered.
Cynder did her best to comfort him.
"He slayed them all… every single one of them…" Spyro said as many tears roll down his face.
"You still have me, and I still have you, Spyro" Cynder said comfortably. As she saw the four graves of the brave guardians of the dragon temple.
"Sparx has left me to go back to his parents… he says he's had quite enough of being a hero" Spyro said with a slight smile of despair.
"Well, well, well…what do we have here?" said a voice by the nearby shrubbery. Spyro and Cynder instantly became alert. Looking around the shrubbery from where the voice had came.
Suddenly, an enormous, bulky figure of an ape emerged from the shrubbery. Six of his minions followed behind him, all of them armed with either a sword or a battleaxe.
"Who are you!?" asked Cynder with suspicion.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself… my names Slic, I have orders from my master to kill you both," hissed the ape as he pulled his sword out of it's scabbard.
"It'll be painless, just stand still and…" Slic added as he lunged for Cynder.
Cynder's speed and agility was a great advantage.
She dodged easily.
"So… you want to do it the hard way eh?" Slic hissed as he gestured for his minions to surround them. Making it almost impossible to dodge.
Slic lunged again, this time aiming for Spyro, Spyro was still in agony from his father's death. Meaning he wasn't completely aware of the strike.
The rain started to get heavier.
Seeing this Cynder leapt in between the blade and Spyro.
The blade pieced through Cynder's chest. She fell to the ground, the blade still stuck in her chest.
"Nooooo!" Spyro screamed as he looked over to see Slic smiling.
Spyro followed his instinct , he turned around a snatched a small throwing knife out of one of the minions scabbards he turned around and in one swift motion he through it. In a spinning motion it splintered into Slic's neck he looked in shock for a slight moment then fell to the ground, dead.
Spyro got down next to Cynder and saw that the injury was bad. Very bad.
"Spyro…" Cynder got out as she looked up into his eyes.
"I love you" she muttered as she closed her eyes and died.
"Don't die! please!" Spyro screamed as he burst into sobbing. The ground around them was appearing to become a pool of tears.
The small minions had run off after they had seen what happened to their master in command.
Spyro saw the blade of the sword in the corner of his tear filled eye.
Suddenly an idea came into mind.
"Cynder… Ignitus, guardians… I'm coming too be with you!" Spyro screamed as he got the blade and put it at his neck.
He had no second choices. He slit his own throat and fell to the ground next to Cynder, his comrade, friend and comforter.
Please feel free to review… and could you rate me on my first ever sad story? oh and it's out of 10…
