Zutara Week Day One: MaskA/N
It's that week again! Zutara week. A collection of one-shots featuring Zutara. I'm psyched because this is my first Zutara week. I'm happy to take part in it. Today's prompt is Mask. So, here we go.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender because seriously, if I did, Jet and Mai would be gone forever.
The Society of the Colored Spirits.
Long ago, a society was formed. A society of masked people. The society was formed with a masked hero from each nation. The blue spirit from the firenation, the red spirit from the water tribe, the green spirit from the air nomads, and the yellow spirit from the earth kingdom.
These warriors are chosen at the time in there life in which they learn the most important lesson of their lives. Zuko is one of them. His lesson learned was that only you can earn your honor and it can't be given to you by anyone. The other three are unknown. Today is the very first meeting of the society in years.
The three other spirits meet up with the Blue Spirit in the firenation throne room. They get to know each other. The Red Spirit is Katara.
The Yellow Spirit is Haru. And the Green Spirit is Aang.
The Great Spirit announced that the Red Spirit must marry another spirit. The bloodbender chose Zuko. The reason, Aang was too childish and Haru had that moustache. Would they just leave it up to Katara? No, the Great Spirit made them fight.
Zuko attacked with his dao swords. When you thought his swords were going to cut off their heads, the masks instead were cut off. With shame, Haru and Aang fled the building.
Zuko and Katara got married. Aang and Haru weren't there. You would think that they died, but no. They fought each other, The winner was Aang when he cut off Haru's moustache. To this very day, the only people to unmask the others with permission are Zuko and Katara. Did I happen to mention that Katara bloodbended the two spirits in place for Zuko to win? Well, she did.
Tragedy struck and the Avatar died. The firelord had a funeral for the young airbender in the Southern Air Temple. To many people's surprise, there were dozens of airbenders. That's because of energybending.
Iroh became Fire Lord when Zuko gave it up to live with Katara in the southern water tribe. They had a child and named her Korra. As the daughter of two spirits, she became a Purple spirit. When she'll become it is unknown.
