One Piece: Journey's Dawn

(A/N): Hey, fellow fanfiction readers and writers! Glad to see you took the time to look at this little story of mine. I appreciate it. But let's not beat around the bush at all and get this sort of admission out of the way right now: this idea is terribly overdone. There are so many of these fan-character based One Piece stories floating around the internet that its silly. But that doesn't make them any less fun to write or participate in.
So I decided to give one of these stories a shot.
I understand hesitation in giving me characters to use, seeing as you can't really gage my writing ability from this introduction. But I'm afraid I must ask for them in order to get this thing off its feet. Already, I have many ideas for arcs, islands, and conflicts- I just need the characters to make the story just that more fantastic. Also, if you do not wish to submit a character, by all means, give me tips and warnings about what I should look out for or avoid when I kick this thing off!
