Daley sat on the beach in complete darkness. But she didn't care. She figured nobody had cared. She'd screwed up. Let the group down. She knew, Lex knew, they all knew. She had tried to keep them together, but nobody listened.
"And Lex hates me now," she thought, "It's like Taylor replaced me."
She had heard clearly what Lex wished for that night with Taylor, "I wish things could go back to the way they were, before my dad died."
Sure, it could mean he missed his dad. But Daley took it personally. When Lex's father was alive, he had no idea Daley Marin existed.
She watched the waves for awhile, as they slowly built up and then crashed down. She held back tears realizing how the waves resembled herself. She had slowly rosed, earning her spot as leader, but then crashed. And then it was replaced by a new wave.
But Taylor was no wave. She has crashed before rising. And maybe that was the better way of doing things.
"I've been replaced," Daley whispered to herself, finally letting a tear roll down her cheek.
A/N- Yeah I know, kinda depressing. But I figured this is how Daley was feeling during most of Hotel Tango. Tell me what you think!! (:
