Hetalia is not mine, of course. Sorry if Prussia is out of character and I'm not good at accents what so ever! Enjoy!
Beautiful notes of music drifted through Austria's piano room. Prussia closed his eyes and let the melancholy melody seep into the unseen cracks in his self-conscience mind. Not being a country now was hard…..so hard. After being demoted from a country he had come down with a fatal illness and he would die in the next two years. He stared at the door.
"Prussia, what's wrong?" Hungary had snuck up on him and prodded the German who looked so depressed, which was out of character for him. He hadn't told her the saddening news thinking she wouldn't care whether he lived or not she had Austria. Though he knew she cared for him but not in the way he had cared for her every since finding out she was a woman.
He sighed then pushed himself of the wall and tried to put as much distance as he could between them.
"W-what's wrong, Prussia." She took two steps toward him in an attempt to close the gap between them. As she did so, he took three steps back and almost knocked over one of Austria's "price vases'" but corrected it immediately, being used to trashing Austria's house but didn't want to invoke Austria's wraith.
"Please just…just…stay away…." He choked out the latter part in the whispered sentence. Hungary stared at him in response.
"What do you mean, I thought you liked my company." She reached out to his arm. But he pulled away as if repulsed.
"Well you thought WRONG, Elizabeta!" He screamed and stalked away and left her dazed and confused, blinking away tears.
He himself tried to bite back the sobs.
"I'm sorry, Elizabeta." He whispered then made his way towards the front door, but was stopped by Elizabeta who had ran in front of him to barricade his way to the exit.
"I'm going to ask you one more time, Gilbert," The German blinked in surprise hardly anyone called him that except for his brother Ludwig. "Tell me what's wrong!" Elizabeta screamed, loud enough for Roderick to hear and run out of his piano room.
"What's the matter you two, you've been quarrelling for the past ten minutes. I've just barely managed to ignore you!" The red faced Austrian scrutinized them both.
Gilbert sighed in defeat and solemnly turned to face them. " I'm dying….." he choked out the words that sealed his fate.
Roderick just stared in astonishment. Elizabeta started to cry worse than she was before.
"I'm sorry I never mentioned it before, only Germany knows. Please don't tell anyone else." The fated country walked away and left Austria and Hungary depressed and deprived.
-2 hours later-
Elizabeta found Gilbert leaned against the wall.
"Prussia, I…" Well it's now or never Elizabeta, the female country thought to herself. " I…um…I" She stuttered.
"Yes, Elizabeta?" Gilbert asked solemnly.
She rushed up to his and crashed her lips against his. Prussia stood frozen then fell in rhythm with the woman's excited kiss. He pulled her closer and tangled his fingers in her beautiful curls. After what seemed to be forever bliss they broke apart reluctantly.
"I love you, Gilbert. And though it kills me to say it but I'll make your last years the best. I promise."
