A house elf

Who was constantly chained down

By an imaginary ball and chain

Feeling the world around him hates

Constantly telling them to do this that

Over and over day in day out it was enough to make anyone's head spin

He may look like fragile and weak

But he has a strong true heart that never tarnished

But don't underestimate his true power

He will protect his friends and his bonds they form with him

Relinquishing your hold on him quietly shattering his ball and chain

We cried and cried some more the day he died

He died protecting the one who released him

He died an elf he died with a lot of heart he died a true hero

Now buried on Hogwarts grounds leaving everyone there with heavy hearts

He was a house elf he was a hero and he certainly loved socks
