Give Her Away

Rated: T

AN: This was written for a challenge on LJ. This is from Charlie's eyes as he watches his girl go down the aisle.

Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight. At all.

He watched on as his little girl walked down the aisle. Veil, hair all done, make up. Charlie tried hard not tear up. Really he did. But it was just so hard to see her grow up in front of his eyes. He'd only really had her for maybe a year and a half. Most of that time spent at school or with the Cullens or at La Push. Catching sight of his ex wife's eyes misting, he knew then that he was done for.

Whenever Renee cried. He ended up doing the same. The sound of the wedding march ended and his heart took a heave of pain as he let his little girl go toward Edward who smiled brightly at her like she truly was God's gift. Well good. He better think that way. Otherwise without a second's heart beat he'd take his daughter back and have a gun at the boy's head. Almost as if he heard the threat, Edward turned his eyes to him and gave a reassuring smile to him. Shockingly enough, it did calm him. A little.

Now all he had to do was get through this thing without shedding a tear. He went to sit beside Renee and heard her sniffle. Stupid move.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the joining of these two young souls." The sound of the woman's sobs sitting next to him grew louder and he cringed.

Damn it all. Where was a stupid car chase when you needed one?
