Muddy the empoleon, Lucario, Fearow, and Abomasnow all sat round a fire in the middle of a dark cave. Recently, the pokemon had been sent from their trainer Lillian to her younger sister Audrey. Audrey was on her way to the Kanto League after she had just beaten the Johto League. Now, Audrey was away from the pokemon, playing with a cyndaquil while its father, her first pokemon, Joey the quilava rested nearby.
"This girl seems rather promising. I'm eager to see her battle," Muddy admitted.
"But she is not Lillian. How could she just trade us off like that?" Fearow inquired. The pokemon were still having mixed feeling about this girl and their trade.
"That is not something Lillian would do lightly. She must have a reason behind it," Muddy tried to convince. Muddy was the only one who thought it was a good idea, Fearow and Abomasnow were fuming, and Lucario didn't know what to think.
"Just look at her. She seems great with pokemon. That quilava trusts her with its child, which is a big feat for a quick-tempered pokemon," Lucario added. They watched as the cyndaquil chased the young girl around.
"But all we've been through! It Sinnoh, we were the best team out there. We defeated the pokemon gyms and leagues with Lillian by our side, and now we are living in a region where they have no clue who we are. If Lillian was here with us, they would, but she's not. All of our hard work for her was just used to make her famous," Abomasnow ranted.
Muddy stood up and glared angrily at the frost tree pokemon. "You will say nothing to downgrade Lillian. We all still wanted to fight and Lillian had had enough. She is now grown with children, so she had to settle down. And we are lucky that she had a sister that was starting a journey willing to take us, or we would be house pokemon right now. Tell me, Abomasnow, would you like to be sitting around the house all day for an occasional battle, or would you be want to be facing all new trainers, all new pokemon, all new league?" he asked.
Abomasnow had taken enough, so he looked over at Lucario. "And what is your opinion on this, Lucario?" he asked the silent pokemon. Lucario gazed his deep red eyes into the burning flame.
"I cannot say that I am not saddened by Lillian's decision, but I trust she made the right choice. Plus, her sister's aura… There's something different about it that I can't put my finger on," Lucario admitted, looking over at Audrey.
"Evil?"
"Abusive?"
Lucario ignored the questions of Abomasnow and Fearow. "No. Something good. Something…wonderful," he pondered, focusing on her aura.
Fearow relaxed closer to the fire. "I still refuse to listen to her orders," he declared.
"I agree."
Muddy refused to be swayed by them. "I will listen to her. She will learn soon enough," he said, and looked at Lucario.
"I agree with him."
Just about how I imported these pokemon from Pearl into Heart Gold and Fearow and Abomasnow refuse to listen to me but Lucario and Muddy do.
