Day One

I stepped aboard the train clutching my ticket to Lanyen tight in my fist. I found my seat and not long after sitting down a seemingly friendly cat named Rover walked up and asked if he could sit down. I said yes to be polite not knowing that what would follow would be an almost endless series of questions. When he found out I had no place to live he kindly went and called his friend Nook to get me a place to live. A little while later the train arrived in Lanyen. I hopped off only to be greeted by Tom Nook who showed me four houses. I choose the one in the upper right and he told me that I owed him 19,800 Bells! This was a thorny situation as he put it after seeing that I only had 1,000 Bells. He told me that I could work part time at his store to pay off some of my debt. And so the mindless chores began starting with planting flowers and trees and ending with an ad on the Message Board outside my house. When the work was all done I still owed 17,400 Bells! The day was still young so I did some jobs for my townsanimals, dug up a few gyroids and fossils and decorated my house a little.
