Okay, this I hadn't been expecting.

"What is the matter?" Edward asked, his eyes flickering at my face to figure out what I was thinking. Usually, he could only make an educated guess which, mostly were correct. Except of course when there wasn't any expression on my face. I continued to stare blankly at my paper.

When I didn't answer, he stood, being impatient and a little worried and went over to look at my paper over my shoulder. He frowned.

"What is that?"

My mouth moved but no words fell out.

I finally expressed something along the lines of my face when I frowned at my difficulty to speak.

What was the big deal anyway? It wasn't like the paper mattered any.

"My term paper." Surprised my voice sounded so harsh, I bit my bottom lip and folded the paper, shoving into my backpack which would never be used for school books again. Or possibly anything actually.

Edward tapped my shoulder, obviously still concerned over my attitude. "Are you mad?"

I snorted lightly, trying my best to act casual. "Like I care about a stupid little paper I poured hours into writing."

The sound of laughter behind me threw me for a loop. I pivoted on my knees to find him nearly in tears, well, if he could have been anyway.

"What," I barked, "is so damn funny?"

He tried to stop laughing long enough to speak but only managed to a few bursts of chuckles.

When I narrowed my eyes, he laughed all the harder. Throwing my arms up in the air, I ignored him and went to my bed, irritated.

"Bella," He spoke, thinking he had called me, "Swan...completely furious at getting a silly B - on her term paper."

"I always get As, okay?" Howls erupted.
