Snowflakes Are Pure
Risa Harada stared out of her bedroom window as the snowflakes fluttered past her window and onto the ground. She enjoyed looking at the flurry of whiteness. Risa came to decision and stood up. She grabbed her winter coat and rushed out of her room and down the stairs into the warm, toasty kitchen.
"I'm going out," Risa announced.
"In this weather?" Her twin, Riku, was surprised.
"I have a warm jacket," Risa waved and went out the door.
It was a lovely December day. It was near Christmas and many people were rushing to finish the last minute shopping before the day came. Risa loved walking around the town, especially during the wintertime.
She set off at a brisk pace towards Azumano Park. She knew that it would be the perfect place to admire the beauty of Nature in quiet. Risa soon reached the park and sat at a bench. She breathed deeply and closed her eyes. She could hear the wind blowing between the bare branches of the many trees that were planted in the small park.
"It's not good to be sitting in the cold, you know," a voice spoke up.
Risa opened her eyes and looked to see Satoshi Hiwatari standing next to her.
"Oh, hello," Risa smiled up at Satoshi but he didn't return the gesture.
Risa frowned. Sure, he wasn't the most social person but he could at least acknowledge her.
"Then why are you just standing there?" She countered his earlier comment.
"I'm just on my way to the Police Department."
Satoshi sat down next to Risa.
"What are you doing out here?" he asked.
"Just looking at the snow." Risa couldn't help but wonder why Satoshi Hiwatari, child prodigy, would even talk to her, let alone sit next to her. It seemed that he wasn't just on business, case proven by the fact that the police department building was on the other side of the town.
"The snow is very pretty, isn't it?" Satoshi's voice brought Risa back to the present.
"Uh, yeah!" Risa stood up and tried to catch a snowflake in her mittened hands, something that proved impossible.
Satoshi watched, amused, as Risa chased one snowflake after another. 'Snowflakes are pure, just like her.' Satoshi stood up and placed a package on the bench and went off to his apartment.
Risa turned around, about to strike up a conversation with Satoshi and found only a parcel on the bench. She leaned closer and saw that the gift was for her. She undid the delicate silver-blue wrapping and opened the box that was inside the paper. Risa gasped as she pulled out a dainty silver necklace with a snowflake at the end. It was a beautiful necklace and there was no doubt in her mind that it was a present from Satoshi. Risa placed the necklace around her neck and read the letter that was inside the box.
Snowflakes are pure, just like you. Merry Christmas, Risa.
Satoshi
Satoshi woke up. It was Christmas morning and he was not happy at all. His "father" had decided to throw a party to increase public attention of his new company and insisted that Satoshi be there.
Satoshi went through his usual routine that he did every morning and headed out the door. He stopped when he noticed a package in his mailbox. Satoshi gripped the box and saw that it was indeed addressed to him and had not been some mistake. He carefully pulled off the wrapper and smiled. It was a picture of him with angel wings. It was obvious that Risa had sent the present. He went back into his apartment and dug around for a camera. He had to live in solitude for his whole life. There was no way he was going to pass up the chance at a normal life. And he would certainly not give up a life with his sacred maiden Risa Harada.
Hope my first fanfic on Satoshi and Risa was good. Please leave a comment and tell me how I can improve so I can write more fanfics on them. Sorry if they are OOC.
