This library is filled with thousands of books.

Most do not interest me.

I do not come here to peruse, I come here to learn.

To learn how I can be a better fighter.

To learn who I am up against.

So I look only at the shelf of the tales of those whom I fight against.

I'd thought I'd finished every last one-

The red hero and his eternal quests to save his princess;

The brave hero, wise princess, and powerful king as they fall through time to struggle again and again;

The angel who fought valiantly and eternally for his goddess;

The brave girl who assumed my name and fought to change the future;

(That last one happens to be my favorite;)

And so many others.

But sometimes, a new book will appear.

Sometimes, it is one that had previously been removed from the shelves.

Such as the red lion who saved the land in his ill father's place.

(That one is also a personal favorite.)

Or the young man who had his life ruined by the greed of the pig king.

Once, a few months ago, I found a wholly new tale.

One of a wandering warrior who eternally seeks out a worthy foe.

A good read, I'd say, but not the kind I'd expect to be among these shelves.

Today, I found another new book, much to my surprise.

One that I never would have suspected to see on these shelves within my lifetime.

I'd heard of it, as had most people, but it was never the sort of thing I would expect to find here.

It must have been in high demand, I suppose.

Though it looked a bit odd among the familiar rows, I picked it up anyways.

Thumbing through, I saw a few interesting points;

A young man, memory warped by tragedy,

A young woman who was impaled, cutting her life short,

Something about an angel?

Seemed interesting enough, but still, I felt uneasy with it being among these familiar books.

But only the worthy find their way here.

So I sat down and flipped to page one.

Because I eagerly await to read the stories this "Cloud Strife" will write in this place.
