So here goes nothing. I have been an avid fanfiction reader for going on 10 years now, but never got the courage to try my hand at it. Sorry for the grammar and spelling mistakes. I swear I'm junior in college, even if my writing skills show otherwise. I love Merlin and am currently re-watching the show for like the tenth time. Sorry if anything is OOC, let me know any and all suggestions in the reviews. Wish me luck, and enjoy…
Two seconds.
Two seconds is all it would take to show the least amount of appreciation for saving the prat's royal backside once again.
But no, Arthur proceeded to pile on even more chores to the already impossible list with the excuse of punishment for two nights spent in the "tavern". What I would have given for those two nights to have been spent in the tavern.
Maybe next time a murderous sorcerer curses their way into Camelot I'll go have a pint with Gwaine instead.
The joke's on Arthur. With this amount of work to do before morning, there's no way I'll be on time with the clotpole's breakfast. And maybe, just maybe, I'll even "forget" to remind him of those council meetings he's always forgetting to go to.
Either way, it's going to be a long night.

I'll be completely shocked if my clumsy servant manages to get half of the chores I just gave him done.
But It's his doing anyways.
For someone so carefree and cheerful, Merlin must have some dark secret to spend that much time drowning his sorrows.
Who am I kidding? It's probably just Gwaine's influence on the poor servant.
Gwenivere thinks him slacking off is somehow my fault. I mean, how is that even logical? So what if I give Merlin a few more chores than I used to? I'm king now. If I have more responsibilities, than so should he.
Maybe I should give him the day off.
Ha, like that would ever happen. He might start to think I actually care.

(In a druid camp outside Camelot's borders)
"Lora, it's time to wake up now"
"Lora, you must wake now! Something is brewing, something dark. Emrys and the Once and Future King are in danger."
"Your brother needs you!"
"Merlin!" With a shout the young girl with dark hair and stunning eyes wakes and searches for the source of the dream voices.
