For Alice, Cass, Ro, Jac, Summer, Middy, and Jane. I love you all, and I really hope you don't mind that I combined your presents, or that I'm quite late.

It wasn't for the first time that day that Lily tried to corral Scorpius under the mistletoe. Nor was it the first time that Louis and Roxanne started singing Lady Gaga, or that Lysander made a grab for Molly's breasts, or even that Teddy decided to transfigure Hugo's book into a spider. But with all those things happening at the same time and the proper adults in the other room swapping their presents, Rose couldn't help but laugh out loud. This was her family indeed, and she loved them.

Albus looked at her oddly, and was going to speak up, but couldn't whenever Lucy shoved a piece of chocolate cake into his face. She had meant for him to eat it, but even the best laid plans go awry. There was now sugary goodness in his eyebrows and stuck to his eyelashes. Instead of becoming mad, he began to laugh himself.

Tears were coming to Rose's eyes at the sight. They were tears of joy, though, not ones of sadness. She ran a finger up the side of Albus's face and then stuck it in her mouth.

"It's good cake," she said through her giggles, which made Lucy burst out in her own giggles.

"We should probably save Scorpius," said Lucy after they all took a few breaths. Rose looked over to where the man in question was being pulled along by Lily Luna. Sighing, Rose shook her head.

"Why don't I do that while you go get Al washed up? And no, Albus Severus, you have absolutely no say in this at all."

They parted ways, but instead of Rose heading straight for Scorpius, she made a few stops along the way. First was the sofa, where Teddy and Hugo were. She made a passing comment about how Victoire was looking for Teddy, which immediately stopped the torment as the oldest of them went looking for his pregnant fiancée. Embracing Hugo for a few moments, Rose then whispered to him the idea of getting Lily under the mistletoe. Hugo blushed and ran off to grab Lily, inadvertently saving Scorpius from the fate he was about to bring upon himself. Molly was having fun playing with little Lorcan and Lysander, while James and Dominique were off making out in a corner. Fred had just joined in on Louis and Roxanne's singing, and so that left Rose with one last thing to do.

The air outside was frigid, and she knew it wouldn't be getting any warmer once the sun went down. However, Rose still made her way out the door and climbed to the roof. Sure enough, Scorpius was there waiting for her. She sat down beside him, and he wrapped his arms around her. It was nothing but a friendly gesture, even if Rose wished it were more.

"Is this what my future is going to be like," Scorpius mused to the heavens.

"You aren't enjoying yourself?" Rose knew it wasn't for her to respond to, but she did so anyway.

"What? No! Quite the opposite, in fact. I kind of wish every day were like this."

"Really?"

"Really, really."

For a few short moments, they stopped staring at the sky and started staring at each other. Neither of them were really surprised when their lips met, but both were shocked to feel the fireworks that started when they kissed.

Never in her life had Rose planned on finding love on Christmas Eve, but she did, and she was more than happy
