Author's Note: Sorry for the long inactivity readers! I plan to finish the next chapter of The Greatest before 2016. I planned to publish this one-shot for Christmas, but I had some family affairs, so, I postponed it that day.
Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon.
A Foolish Mistake
He had won.
His lifelong dream, goal, was finally accomplished.
He looked around the stadium to see spectators cheering and hollering.
He smiled to himself and expected happiness back, but none came.
Some was missing in his life.
He looked around, to see no one he knew. No one.
Then realization hit him,
he had sacrificed everything,
his family, his friends he had met along his journey, his Pokemon he had befriended and captured throughout his journey, even his first Pokemon, his pal, his partner, Pikachu.
What was he thinking?!
He looked down, droplets of despair forming in his dull, lifeless eyes, splattering on the ground below him.
He thought about his life years before.
People and Pokemon he knew, he loved, shared laughter and happiness with.
Overcoming hardships with each other.
He'd never thought he would miss them.
Ignoring everything around him, he kept walking, until he found himself at the edge of a cliff.
He saw the calm waves of the sea, the Wingulls soaring in the skies.
Everything seemed so peaceful right then.
He wanted to drop and lay down, enjoying the never endless scenery,
yet he had left his only home.
Now, there was no home, no one to go to for comfort, or help.
What had motivated him to do this?!
He slowly crumpled to the ground, and filtered sand through his hands.
He would have to endure all of this mental pain.
He tried to think of a way to reach actual peace ad happiness.
He could end this despair the easy way.
Without thinking, he stodd up and took a step ahead,
dropping down the cliff, below, only death awaited him.
Before his inevitable deth, he thought he heard a faint, familiar whisper to his ear.
"You're so naive, Ash."
Let me know what you think about this story! I know this might seem confusing at first, but look closely at the hints. This is my first roughly thought, one-shot, but feel free to criticize me. Hopefully this can compensate for the long delay in my next chapter in the story: The Greatest.
Until next time,
