"So, little lady, I betcha wonderin' why I caught ya!"

"Mmmm…no."

Once again, Sally had been taken prisoner by Oogie Boogie. By now, it had been so common, that it was almost trivial to try and guess why he kept doing it. Because he had only one reason…

"You see, Sally, both Jack and the Mayor will be forced to come here to rescue you, then I'll defeat them, and then I'll be the Pumpkin King!"

"You?" Sally asked, trying to hold her amusement in. "You make Jack and the Mayor look like brain surgeons! You're too ignorant to be the ruler of Halloween."

"So?" Oogie asked. "I'll take brute force and a bad attitude over smarts and education any day, because ignorance is bliss!"

"Song cue!"

Wake up!
Miss Sally, it is I, the one and only King,
Oogie Boogie.
I'm the Boogie man as you see,
Full of bugs and a little green.
But I'm the whole I'd say,
Super Duper.

Miss Sally, I know you're frightened,
But if you knew just why you're here,
Your fear would just be heightened.
So let's just say,
Ignorance is bliss.

Well, I hate to put fear in ya,
I've brought you here to bring me leaders.
You know those two,
Oh, what's their names?
Oh yes, Jack and the Mayor
Just let them find me, let them dare!
I'd like to take that Soul Robber,
I'd play my own game.

Miss Sally, you're so misguided,
I've never fond of bookworms.
But then again, this one does make good Skellington bait,
I can't wait.
Ignorance is bliss!

With my magic book,
I'll shower my little bugs with my power,
Until Halloween Town is nothing but Bug Town II.
My only problem with these spells,
Is that I know not what they tell,
So every hex leaves me perplexed,
And all I want are those leader fools.

Miss Sally, you're not so clever
All your words are alphabet soup
A picture tells it better
I'll say it again!
Ignorance is Bliss!

Haven't you heard a picture's worth 1000 words?

By this point, Jack and the Mayor had arrived at Oogie's Lair. While Jack beat the bugs out of Oogie, the Mayor helped untie Sally from the rope around her wrists.

You call yourself the future Pumpkin Queen, but you're a brainiac in a dress.
I can't believe you waste time with these books,
You remind me of my kid sister,
She read so much she got a blister,
A big one, I mean big, on her brain, what a schnook!

(I'd like to get my hands on...just one time with a Soul Robber...
I'd be the one ruling…)

Miss Sally, I know you're frightened (So misguided),
But if you knew just why you're here,
Your fear would just be heightened.

Miss Sally, you're not so clever (Pictures say it better),
All your words are alphabet soup,
A picture tells it better.

For the last time-

Eventually, Oogie was defeated, and tied up in the same rope that once held Sally captive. As the three left, Oogie just had to wait for Lock, Shock, and Barrel to find him, and untie him.

On second though, I think I've made my point...
