Canada half listened to the conversation happening outside the kitchen door, focusing on cooking the meat in front of him. He heard America say goodbye to the old empire, before hanging up. A few seconds later, Canada felt arms snake their way around his waist.
"Hmm~ That smells good." The younger twin shivered at the breath in his ear. He giggled before nudging his elbow back.
"Be patient, it's not done yet~" Matthew could feel his brother pout against his neck. "No fair. I want it now…!"
"Go sit down and give me a little more time, or else you get nothing." Canada knew he had won when he felt Alfred's arms reluctantly withdraw from his hips. He flipped the patty once more as he heard America sit down. Deeming the meat cooked, Matthew placed it in its proper place on a bun. Cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, a tomato slice, and then the top bun were all placed.
The younger twin admired his handiwork for a moment, before placing the burger in front of his elder brother, "Bon appetite~"
America grinned, "You're the best, Mattie!"
Matthew carefully watched the other's expression as he took his first bite. He chewed slowly, swallowing, before a huge grin broke out on his face. "Delicious~!"
Setting the burger down, Alfred offered a hand to his brother, pulling him down into a flavored kiss once he was close enough. Canada licked hips lips after he pulled away, agreeing that it was quite good.
"Hey, Mattie? What did you use for the meat?" Matthew could not help the smirk that stretched across his face.
"Oh, I used 100% pure Russian beef, imported directly from Moscow. It was hard to get, but I got a lot, so I can make more later, I you'd like~"
America's smirk echoed it's twin on Canada's face. "That would be wonderful~!"
Down the hall and to the left, Canada's walk-in freezer stood ajar. And inside, Ivan could hear every word the two brothers said.
