The Left Side of the Room
The Heroes of the Lance walked into the inn,
But there weren't enough rooms, and that was a sin.
Caramon said, "What should we do?"
Then Raistlin said, "If I have to share, I'll kill you!"
"But Raistlin, that's a good idea!" Sturm did say.
Flint complained, "I'll be way too hot; it's the middle of May!"
"Don't worry," Tas replied. "It won't be your doom."
Then Kitiara spoke up. "Tanis and I can share a room!"
"I get the left side of the room!" Tanis cried.
"Okay! Fine by me," Kitiara complied.
Kitiara didn't care
As long as Tanis was there.
The rooms were so confusing, they were like a maze.
So they used toothpaste to guide them through the haze.
By squeezing toothpaste on the floor,
The paths led them to the door.
The colors were many, including red, white, and blue.
Plus purple, green, and orange; that was new!
The Heroes were hot, and they were doomed! They had to eat fried squid soup!
And while they were eating, they were invaded by an army troop!
The next morning, they sat down together,
But unfortunately their breakfast tasted like leather.
Sturm said to Raistlin, "I didn't sleep well,
I meant you could actually kill Caramon," and Raistlin answered, "Swell!"
Flint agreed that they shouldn't have shared.
None of them were spared from with whom they were paired.
"I've had enough of this!" Raistlin exclaimed.
Then he jumped up on the table in a move that was famed.
With this, he burned Caramon to a crisp,
Now nothing more than a wisp.
Sturm lunged at Raistlin with his sword,
But Raistlin fireballed him too, and while looking bored.
In the middle of the melee, Tanis and Kitiara snuck off,
And Raistlin never noticed because he had to cough.
"This has to stop!"Flint yelled from across the room. "It's driving me around the bend!"
Whether he meant the coughing or the killing, we'll never know, for he too met an untimely end.
Tas happened to have an apple in his pouch,
And when Raistlin turned to burn him, Tas shouted, "Ouch!"
Tasslehoff the Kender the apple from his pouch were now a pile of mush.
Raistlin tasted it, and finding it was apple crisp, he ate the rest in a rush.
Meanwhile, Tanis and Kitiara had made their escape,
Vanishing with a swish of their cape.
So now this story of the Heroes comes to a close,
But was Raistlin or The Left Side of the Room the worst of their foes?
The End
Disclaimer: I do not own Dragonlance, though many of the Dragonlance books are on my bookshelf!
That was my first fanfic poem! My friend and I came up with the idea for it. I hope you liked it!
