(Hello everyone! I have returned after a 5 month hiatus. Some of you may know me from my Arnold's 7th Grade fanfiction. I'm done with my CST's for sixth grade and well, I'm back.)

Arnold never pictured spending his summer at a camp. But first, let's start from the beginning. Farther than the seventh grade. The Sixth Grade. He stared down at his paper. It was a fairly simple algebraic equation. a+(17-x)5x. He had to simplify the equation, but Arnold had not payed attention that much in this grade. He circled the one that caught his eye. He finished the test and his teacher came by and picked it up. Arnold saw her carry it to a plastic container and close the lid.

Good old Helga on the other hand, she was circling letters as fast as she could. She knew everything from pre-algebra to ancient mayan civilizations. Class was dismissed, and Arnold went home. On his way to his new house, he noticed something odd. The clouds had rolled in faster than he had ever seen. It started to rain, and Arnold quickly ran inside. The living room TV was on, and no one was even home. The TV was on the weather channel, and Arnold sat on the couch and watched what was happening. The entire coast of California had clouds rolling in and hurricanes forming. Arnold quickly ran down to his room, threw his backpack on the bed and looked outside. The sun was nothing but a small light with dark clouds surrounding it.

"Where is everyone..." said Arnold to himself. He looked in his parent's room, but there was no one there. He checked the kitchen, but there was no one there, either. A note was on the dining room table. "Arnold, we went to the market. We will be back in an hour, and if you get hungry, there are snacks in the fridge. Love, Mom and Dad." Arnold crumpled up the note and threw it in the trash. There was a knock on the door. Arnold opened the door and to his surprise, there was Gerald.

"Man, that is some crazy weather out there. You watching the news?" said Gerald raising his hands as he walked in.

"No, what happened?" replied Arnold.

"Well, apparently the internet got hacked.." said Gerald.

"What happened?"

Arnold went to CNN and watched. "Internet has been shut down for unknown reasons. Millions riot and panic without the amazing utility, the internet."

"Why are people so worried about the internet? It's not like we need it to survive or something." said Arnold.

"Well, online bank accounts have been hacked, causing people to go broke. Not only that, but cash registers are malfunctioning."

"I better call my mom and dad, they left for the market not too long ago." said Arnold picking up his phone.

"Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you had dialed is no longer in use."

"The phone line is connected to the internet, Arnold..." said Gerald.

Arnold slowly put down the phone. He sat down on the couch and put his hand on his face.

"So that's how important the internet is..."

"Now do you see why people are rioting? They're pissed off because most of their everyday things are offline."

"Looks like you're going have to stay the night, there's no way you can walk home in this weather."
