"What are you wearing?" Pansy whirled around to face her boyfriend of eight months, Percy Weasley. He was standing in the doorway, leaning against it almost casually with a curious expression on his face. She felt her face flush bright red.

"Nothing!" She hurriedly answered, running into the bathroom to avoid his critical gaze.

"You look like a bloody peacock Pansy." She could hear the frown in his words. She glared out of the bathroom only to see him fussing with the hair piece she had chosen to match her outfit.

"Don't you ever have anything nice to say?" She questioned, brushing a hand through her black locks. She fixed a haughty expression on her face, something she had perfected from her seven years at Hogwarts.

"Occasionally, but those moments pass by rather quickly." He placed the feathered hair piece back on the dresser and walked over to her. "Why are you dressed so silly anyway?"

"It's not silly!" Pansy began to methodically peel off her multicolored, feathered dress, avoiding eye contact the entire time.

"No it's not, I apologize." Sometimes she wondered how he managed such a clipped tone. Even being raised in a strict household where image was everything had not managed to beat that strange way of speaking into her. "But why are you dressing up like this?"

"I'm trying to find something to wear to that party your mother is throwing, and failing so far." Shucking off her pale green leggings while trying to hobble into the bedroom to find another outfit, Pansy tripped and fell onto the grey carpet. "Merlin, I hate these leggings!"

"But they look so lovely on you." The sarcasm in his voice was all too evident to the frustrated woman. Snarling, she ripped the infuriating clothing off and threw them beside her on the floor. She flipped around to lean against their bed and stared at the red haired man.

"Must you be so derisive?" Her lips curved into a pout. Percy chuckled at her childish behavior.

"Pansy dear, it's a lovely morning, Autumn is in full swing, and there is no need to worry about an outfit for the party for quite some time." He leaned down and offered her a hand up from the floor. "So come on, put your dressing robe on and let's have some breakfast in the garden. I'd like to be able to share this morning with the woman I love." She couldn't help but blush in pleasure. She loved when he told her such sweet things. She glanced around the room quickly.

"But I desperately need a costume for tonight Percy! I can't go wandering around the Burrow in my knickers and a dressing robe!" His heated look made her smile.

"But my dear, there's never a dull moment in the Weasley household or so they tell me. You'd fit right in!" His tone was slightly mocking, a rough remembrance of the years he had spent away from home when he was furious at his family for believing that Harry was actually telling the truth about the Dark Lord's return.

"I really do need a costume though." He pulled her into his arms and smiled sweetly.

"Pansy, love, worry about a costume later. The morning won't last forever and it's too beautiful to waste." His words caused her to pause. It was true, such a beautiful morning should not be wasted in doors.

"Alright, let's go." She would worry about a Halloween costume later.
