For Tracee.

As his spear enters the little Eleven girl's body, and her ally Fire Girl shoots an arrow into his neck, all Marvel thinks about is how unfair all this was. He didn't sign up for this. Sure, he wanted to be in the Games. Especially, he wanted to avenge his father's death by killing District Eleven off, but he definitely didn't want one of his targets to be a little twelve-year-old girl. Why couldn't Dad have been taken out by some kid from Twelve? Marvel certainly wouldn't have had problems killing Fire Girl and Lover Boy.
