The song is "When It Rains" by the Eli Young Band. I thought the song represents Sam pretty well. Tell me what you think.
Sam almost laughed as he stood out in the rain as the storm raged. He was well past soaked, and had been for around half an hour. The Matrix had boosted his immune system, so he wouldn't get sick. His nightmares had been coming more and more frequently since the incident in Egypt, and he couldn't sleep. He just felt so alone, much like he had before meeting the Autobots. He hummed lightly, thinking of the song he'd heard earlier that day that felt appropriate to the situation.
"Give me skies of black and blue, the way you make me feel
Give me skies of green and red, cold winds that make it real
Storms are brewing deep within of hurt and loss and pride
It's good to see the world in pain when I take a walk outside." He began to sway on the spot, remembering his friend Luna. She had always, always danced in storms like this. She had taught him so many dances; ones for the moon, some for the sun, and many for different storms. He slid gracefully through the familiar steps, one of the rare occasions when he didn't look like a fool.
"When it rains, I don't mind being lonely, I cry right along with the sky
When it rains, I don't pretend to be happy; I don't even have to try
When it rains, Some people get down, They're sporting a frown, so I fit right in
Yeah, the sun may brighten your day but if I had my way, I'd take the rain
I don't care about politics or the hypocrites on my TV
I'm not mad at the girl who left because she couldn't be with me
So make up your theories about the scandals and the lies
Start out depressed then everything comes as a pleasant surprise." His steps began to pick up, his head thrown back as he let go for the first time since meeting the Autobots. He kept his voice soft, but he still had caught the attention of both his parents and his guardian.
"When it rains, I don't mind being lonely, I cry right along with the sky
When it rains, I don't pretend to be happy, I don't even have to try
When it rains, Some people get down, They're sporting a frown, so I fit right in
Yeah, the sun may brighten your day but if I had my way, I'd take the rain." His steps slowed once again, still quick but not quite as fast paced as before.
"When it rains, I don't mind being lonely, I cry right along with the sky
When it rains, I don't pretend to be happy, I don't even have to try
When it rains, I don't mind being lonely, I cry right along with the sky
When it rains, I don't pretend to be happy, I don't even have to try
When it rains, Some people get down, They're sporting a frown, so I fit right in
Yeah, the sun may brighten your day but if I had my way, I'd take the rain" His steps slowed to a stop then, leaving him panting with a large, contented smile on his face. He let the rain wash the sweat from his skin, relaxing completely.
He didn't feel like going inside, so he walked to the garage, leaving his parents smiling as they went to bed. As he curled in Bee's backseat, dry from the warmth circulating the car, he was able to sleep without nightmares.
