A/N: This first chapter is a little weird but it just connects the original story (being adventure + 02) to the current story (mine). The italics are newspaper article titles from those years and the part under is snippets of those articles, they'll make a little more sense next chapter.
Summary: Centuries ago a group called the DigiDestined saved the world by using strange crests to digivolve their partners to mega. Since then a lot of things have changed and mega digimon have become a thing of legend. Everyone has a partner now and new digital technology has advanced the world far past the original yet some things have still gone wrong and nekos threaten another war while the world is falling apart under Pride. Pride's power has grown out of control and only a few people can stop her, the trouble is she's twenty steps ahead of them. She's already sunk her claws into the new DigiDestined, turning some of them to her side and destroying any opposition. In the midst of this the spirit evolver population has skyrocketed and they seem to know more about what's going on than anyone else, the trouble is no one knows they exist. Now throw into this mix a disjointed family, all with ties to a different of the three worlds and on different sides of the conflict.
