Dreams
I sat near the lake, letting the slow breeze run through my fur. I sighed, reflecting on how I got in ThunderClan, the image of our fearless leader, the one who saved me moons ago, the one I gave my heart to. I closed my eyes, allowing all memories from the past to play in my head. The tail of another cat gently rest on my shoulder, I knew who it was at once.
"Hello Bramblestar" I mewed, looking up at the powerful, handsome, clan leader.
"Jessy, I've been thinking" the leader looked shyly down at his paws, "I think we should start trying… to have kits."
I immediately turned my head to look into his shimmering amber eyes, "I thought you would never ask!" I realized I had spoken too loud and looked away out of shame. I thought he might leave after that, but to my surprise, I felt Bramblestar's tail intertwine with my own. I sighed in relief and looked out at the vast lake, "I wish this would never end", I mewed.
"Me too", Bramblestar suddenly had a very odd look on his face, "But we all have to wake up sometimes."
Suddenly all the scenery around me, the shimmering lake, the green grass, the luscious trees, it all turned black. Bramblestar was no longer next to me, he was several tail lengths away, and now he was with a ginger colored she-cat with one white paw, and piercing green eyes, Squirrelflight.
"Never broken!" Squirrelflight yelled, "Our bond is never broken!"
I tried to run away, but I was going nowhere. I continued to hear Squirrelflight's painful words, Bramblestar was laughing maniacally. I buried my head into my paws, "NO!" I continually screamed, the word broken up by the tears streaming down my face.
I woke up to find myself in a makeshift nest that I had been living in the past few days. "Why...Why did I have to leave?" I quietly sobbed. I lifted my head slowly and wondered; will I ever get over him? I would need to. There was a journey to be made, and I needed to get started. I had to find a new home.
