Hello all Storm here with a new story! This story is that has not been done before, to my knowledge at least, and I hope you all like it. So, without further ado.

Rain poured down hard on Konohagakure as an eight-year-old girl cried as she held her mother who was holding her daughter close despite the multiple wounds on her.
"Shh, it's alright Naru-chan, everything will be alright." The redheaded woman said even as she felt her life slipping away
"Please don't leave Kaa-chan. I don't want you to leave." The girl whimpered feeling her mother's life fading
"I know you don't, I know it hurts but I know you'll keeping going on without me. You are so much stronger than you know musume, I have seen this spark inside it's amazing and I know one day you'll turn it into something great." Said the woman kissing her daughters forehead softly
"Naru-chan no matter what happens or what you become, just know I will love you… always." The woman said as she felt her daughters tears began humming a lullaby to calm her down
"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes, the sun is going down
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now
Come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound…"
The woman's voice grew weaker before the last of her life left her, as the girl looked at her and started shaking her.
"Kaa-chan, Kaa-chan… please wake up, wake up." The girl pleaded but it was useless
Tears and raindrops streamed down her face as her small body shook in sadness at losing the one person who loved her unconditionally. But soon her sadness turned to rage as she looked up at the ones who took her Kaa-chan from her.
The bandages man and the people wearing blank masks.
"You…" The girl muttered lowly as glowing energy flowed through her veins while her hair covered her eyes
"Secure the girl bring her back to base for conditioning and take the body as well it may prove useful." The bandaged man ordered
"Hai Danzo-sama."
The masked people moved in to grab the girl and body only to drop to the ground grabbing their heads in pain.
"YOU KILLED HER!" her head snapping up showing the fire in her eyes
The girl screamed loudly as a storm of fire exploded from her body intent to consume everything in its path. The fire changed shape taking the form of a bird that unleashed a screech of fury before suddenly darkness overtook the girls vision.
*Nine Years Later*
Sitting in an alleyway a fifteen-year-old girl sat against a wall as her body shook from her sobs. The girls long red hair was matted against her head from the rain pouring down around her, her blue eyes were filled with tears on pain and horror as she remembered wha happened. Her attire consisted of black boots, dark blue jeans, a light grey shirt, and a dark grey coat over it.
"Why did you make me do that?" The girl pleaded looking at her hands in horror
"They were my friends." Said the girl to seemingly no one
"They weren't your friends they were traitors all of them. They took our memories, our power, our mother from us. They deserve to suffer for all that they took from us, to feel our pain." Cooed a voice within the girls head, making her sobs increase as she gripped her head
"No, they were my friends and you made me… do horrible things to them. I didn't want to do any of that." The girl cried at the memory
The bodies, the empty looks in their eyes as she liquefied their minds, the fear and pleads for mercy. She didn't want to but it made her, it controlled her.
"I did nothing you did not want to do, you wanted revenge on all those that took away everything we held dear. You wanted to make them suffer…"the voice tempted
"Stop."
"…to hear them beg for mercy…"
"Stop."
"…to watch them die!"
"JUST STOP!" The girl shouted as she unleashed a psychic blast pushing away everything near her
"You can lie to yourself Naruko, but you cannot lie to me. Soon you will embrace your true self and then we will show everyone our power, the power of Phoenix."Said the voice before it faded away
Naruko Uzumaki could only cry at the voices words as tears streamed down her whiskered cheeks, all while she went back to how this all began.
*Flashback*
'I did it!' Naruko thought as she panted in exhaustion as she looked to where she sent that teme Kabuto flying after hitting him with her Rasengan
Though her victory didn't last when she saw Kabuto was still standing, even more so his wound was healing itself. Naruko didn't have time to ponder this before she coughed up blood and felt a striking pain in her chest.
'Wh-what's happening?' Naruko thought feeling herself fall backwards and hit the ground
'It's getting… dark. Why is it… getting dark?' Thought Naruko having trouble opening her eyes
"Naruko!"
'What, who's that?'
"Naruko, get inside you'll catch a cold if you stay out here too long."
"But Kaa-chan there's hardly any snow here, can I just play for a while longer, please."
'Is that… me? My Kaa-san? How?'
"Now remember Naru-chan focus your Chakra to your back and picture chains that can't be broken."
"Okay Kaa-chan."
'What… are these? Memories?'
"Kaa-chan, why does everyone hate me?"
"Why would you say that?"
"Because everyone always glares at me and I hear them whisper about me, that I'm just a freak."
"Don't listen to what those people say about you Naru-chan. You are my special girl, you have a gift inside you Naruko and I know one day you'll do great things."
'Why am I seeing this?'
"Kaa-chan promise you'll never leave."
"I promise, I'll always be with you even when I'm not you'll know I'm with you in here."
Naruko saw a beautiful woman with long red hair with a loving smile directed straight her with a hand over her, Naruko's, heart.
Then things took a darker turn.
"Give us the girl, she will help birth a new generation of fighters for Konoha."
"You mean an army of drones loyal to you. You were stupid to come here you old mummy, and even more stupid to think I'd ever hand my daughter over to you."
"ROOT attack!"
'No don't!'
Flashes of the redheaded woman fighting masked people either with a sword or golden chains, only for one of the masked people to attack a little girl forcing the woman protect her and be injured herself.
'NO!'
"Please don't leave Kaa-chan."
"I will love you… always."
"YOU KILLED HER!"
'Stop no more!'
"Jiraiya restrain her quickly before she destroys the village!"
'Old man… what's he doing?'
"Her emotions are to volatile, if something isn't done she could kill us all."
"What should we Sarutobi-sensei?"
"You and Inoichi must seal her memories and her power.
'Wh-what? No, no the old man wouldn't do that.'
"It's done Hokage-sama. All her memories are locked away, as far as Naruko remembers she's an orphan who never knew her parents or her burden."
"Good, I have already enacted a law forbidding anyone from mentioning Kushina or the Kyuubi to her. For the sake of Konoha she can never know the truth."
'It… it can't be true. The old man, he cared about me, he wouldn't seal my memories, he wouldn't!'
But while Naruko desperately rejected that the old man would ever do something like that to her, a single phrase kept echoing in her head.
"Seal her memories."
"Seal her memories."
"…memories…"
"…memories…"
"THEY TOOK OUR MEMORIES!"
Naruko screamed loudly as a seal appeared on her forehead before shattering like glass. Suddenly her eyes snapped open but rather than her normal blue they were now a fiery orange as her veins lit up with glowing energy. Her screams increased in volume, sounding more like a screech, as fire began emitting off her body forcing Tsunade away as she looked shocked at the sudden change.
The scream also got the attention of Orochimaru and Jiraiya who both had different reactions, the former looking in recognition, surprise, and even a little fear while the latter paled dramatically.
'Oh no!' Jiraiya thought realizing the seal had broken
During the chaos of the invasion, the Sandaime's death, and searching for Tsunade, he and Inoichi had forgotten to strengthen the seal keeping Naruko's powers and memories locked away. And now the seal was broken.
"Kabuto we're leaving now!" Orochimaru said jumping down to his right hand
"Orochimaru-sama, what's happening? What is this power?" Kabuto asked shocked at the sudden change in Naruko's behavior
"Later, for now we need to put as much distance between us and her as possible." Said Orochimaru urgently
Nodding Kabuto and Orochimaru sunk into the ground making their escape.
'Maybe I'm not to late. If I hurry I can reapply the seal long enough to get back to Konoha so Inoichi can help.' Jiraiya thought jumping down and running over to Naruko's flame covered body
"Jiraiya what the hell is going on?!" Tsunade demanded not knowing what was happening
"No time to explain Hime but help hold her down before she-GAH!" Jiraiya choked up blood as he felt something impale his abdomen
"Jiraiya!" Tsunade shouted going to help her teammate but soon found herself restrained by a fiery gold chain, Shizune carried over wrapped in a similar chain while another chain was impaled through Jiraiya's abdomen
"No ones going anywhere." Naruko said but it wasn't her voice as she floated into the air hovering just above the ground as the chains currently restraining Tsunade and Shizune and impaling Jiraiya emerged from her back
"Na-Naruko…" Jiraiya choked hoping he could reason with the girl
"Shut up." Stated Naruko as Jiraiya found he could no longer speak
"You, the Hokage, Danzo, and Inoichi you all took everything from me, my memories, my power, my mother." Naruko listed as fire swirled around them all while she twisted the chain still impaling Jiraiya
"Now I'm going to enjoy taking everything from you." Said Naruko though annoyed the Hokage was already dead and she couldn't punish him
That just meant his loved ones will be punished in his place.
"But don't worry you won't die yet, no you'll die when you have nothing left." Naruko said before she tossed all three of them aside
"Better hurry, it'd be a shame if he bled out before he saw the consequences of his actions." Naruko said before flying into the air and flying in the direction of Konoha.
"This… is gonna be fun." Naruko said to herself a small smirk appearing on her face at the thought of the pain she'll inflict on her enemies and everyone they love
*Later-Konoha*
Naruko flew over Konoha looking down at the people going about making repairs from the invasion, friends and family chatting happily.
She hated it.
Taking a deep breath Naruko focused and began searching for the specific minds she was looking for.
"I have you." Muttered Naruko smirking as she connected to the minds of her next victims
The Yamanaka and Sarutobi Clans.
All across the village the members of these clans fell down and gripped their heads in pain, while people started panicking at seeing members of two ninja clans suddenly fall down in pain. For the majority of these clans Naruko systematically broke every single bone in their bodies, ruptured their organs, boiled the blood in their veins, and finally liquefied their brains killing them.
But for a select few Naruko had something special in mind for them. These few being Ino Yamanaka, Ino's mother and Inoichi's wife, Asuma Sarutobi, and Konohamaru Sarutobi, the people Inoichi and the Sandaime loved most had a special punishment in store for them.
Rather than physically injure them Naruko went only for mental torture, making the four feel all the pain their fellow clansmen were going through, times a thousand. It wasn't long before their minds went completely blank and unresponsive showing they were now brain dead.
When Naruko broke the connection with all of them she started giggling which soon evolved into full-fledge laughter. The reason due to the fear, horror, and despair she felt from the entire village at the sudden attack, the best being from friends and loved ones of the two clans she just exterminated.
"Yes! Feel pain, sorrow, and helplessness at not being able to help those you love! I want you to feel my pain!" Naruko said cruelly as she unleashed a large firestorm above Konoha
The fire changed shape until flying proudly over Konoha was a majestic phoenix that unleashed a loud screech.
*End Flashback*
It wasn't long after that Naruko managed to regain control of her body only to be horrified at what she had done. While it may not have been her in control, it was still her body that killed those people, that rendered two of her friends brain dead. Unable and unwilling to face her remaining friends and the villagers after what she'd done Naruko did the only thing she could think of.
She ran.
She ran as fast as she could as far away as she could get until she couldn't run anymore. Then when she couldn't run anymore she started crying at horrible things she's done, it didn't help that her sealed memories kept replaying in her mind and that voice, Phoenix, kept trying to make her embrace it.
"Who… who am I?" Naruko asked looking at her shaking hands
She didn't even know who she was anymore, her entire life was nothing but a lie made by the Hokage, someone she thought she could trust instead he took away her memories of her mother. Denied her the right to grieve or seek vengeance on the ones who killed her.
'Please someone just help me.' Naruko pleaded mentally just wishing to know who she was supposed to be now
Suddenly Naruko heard the sound of approaching footsteps making her look up fearfully, she didn't want anyone near her she didn't want to risk hurting someone else.
"Hello Naruko." A female voice said
'That voice.' Naruko thought looking up at just who it was
It was a stunningly beautiful woman with platinum blonde hair that fell just past her shoulders in natural waves, porcelain skin, and icy blue eyes. Her all white attire just screamed money from her white leather stiletto boots to her raincoat.
Though several things confused Naruto about this woman.
The first was her eyes glowing bright blue, second was that while the rain was still falling it wasn't touching either of them, and third…
Naruko knew her.
Wincing as another memory came to her.
"Naruko come down here for a moment please!" Kushina called up to her daughter
"Coming Kaa-chan!" Said Naruko as she ran down the stairs wondering what her Kaa-chan wanted her for
Entering the living room Naruto saw her Kaa-chan sitting across from a blonde woman. Instantly shying away Naruko ran to her Kaa-chan hiding behind the chair she was sitting in, not use to being around strangers or other people in general given how the villagers saw her.
"It's okay honey. She's an old friend, go on introduce yourself." Said Kushina smiling at her, Naruko stepping out from her hiding spot a little
"Hello, I'm Naruko Uzumaki." Naruko introduced, as the woman smiled at her
"Hello Naruko, it's nice to see you again." Said the woman, Naruko looking at her confused
"Again?" Naruko asked
"Yes, you met her once as a baby." Kushina answered
"What she said, and I can certainly say you have inherited your mothers beauty." The woman said
Naruko instantly ducked her head down to hide her blush at the compliment.
"By the way my name is Emma, Emma Frost. A pleasure." Introduced Emma
"Anyway Naruko, I asked Emma to come here to help you with your… powers." Kushina said hesitantly knowing this was a sensitive topic
Naruko lowered her head at this not wanting to talk about her powers as they only made her feel even more alone. It had started out with hearing peoples voice but whenever she looked she never saw anyone's mouths moving, then it was things moving on their own.
Then the accidents started happening.
Naruko never meant to hurt anyone but whenever she heard some talking about her or her Kaa-chan, she couldn't help but want to hurt them. She didn't mean for anyone to die, she just wanted them to stop insulting her Kaa-chan.
But it only made the villagers hate her even more, this lead to Naruko hating these strange powers she had.
"It's alright you know." Came Emma's voice from in Naruko's head surprising the girl
"How did-"
"-Do that? It's because I'm like you Naruko. You and I, we're special even more than those with Kekkei Genkai. We're among select handful of people with powers called mutants." Emma said telepathically
"You and I also happen to have the same mutation, telepathy. Though from what Kushina here has told me you are more than just a simple telepath." Said Emma
"And you think you can help me." Naruko said doubt lacing her words thinking no one could help her
"I believe so, at least with being able to control what minds you read so you aren't overloaded by all the different voices. I have five daughters of my own with the same powers, compared to that I'm sure teaching you will be a cakewalk." Said Emma
Still unsure Naruko looked to her Kaa-chan, who nodded encouragingly, before looking back to Emma.
"Okay." Naruko said
Coming out of the memory Naruko looked up at Emma who smiled kindly at her.
"Auntie Emma." Said Naruko remembering what she used to call her after becoming more comfortable in the woman's presence
"You remember." Emma said, Naruko nodding slowly tears still pouring from her eyes
"Emma, it's horrible I ki-killed so many people… tortured others and I-I… I laughed about it. But it wasn't me! Something… something was controlling me and I don't understand-" Naruko rambled before Emma knelt down and wrapped an arm around Naruko's shoulder
"Shh, it's alright, everything's alright. I know you're scared of what's happening, but I can't help you, just like I did before." Emma said pulling back and holding out her hand for Naruko to take, though the teen girl was hesitant not wanting hurt another person she cared about
"It's alright Naruko. I can help you understand what's happening and help you harness that force within you. You don't have to afraid." Said Emma
"I just want to know who I am." Naruko said helplessly
Was Naruko Uzumaki Genin of Konohagakure, Naruko Uzumaki daughter of Kushina Uzumaki, or was she this Phoenix?
"And you will soon, I promise." Emma replied
Hesitantly Naruko reached out and took Emma's hand making the woman smile, which Naruko returned with a shaky smile. Pulling Naruko to her feet Emma smiled softly at her before both vanished in a swirl of snow.
*Timeskip-Konoha Hospital*
"Tsunade if you'd just let me explain-" Jiraiya tried saying
"Jiraiya, in the last few days I had to not only see you be impaled by a Chakra Chain, something I know only Kushina could use and now apparently her daughter, make sure you didn't die, come back to a village I never wanted to come back to, take a job I never wanted until that girl changed me, heal two people from severe mental damage, and finally just for icing on the cake you know the first thing I learn when we walk through the gates? Not one, but two prominent clans have been rendered all but extinct with four people being reduced to drooling braindead messes. So, unless the next words out of your mouth are the truth, the entire truth, and nothing but the truth, shut up before I shove my fist down your throat! Inoichi!" Tsunade shouted spotting the Yamanaka Clan Head coming from the intensive care unit where his wife and daughter were no permanent residence
"Yes Hokage-sama." Inoichi said not reacting to being shouted at after seeing the condition his wife and little princess were in with him being unable to help them
"My office now!" Tsunade ordered
While it still freaked her out, and even terrified her, of what Naruko did Tsunade remembered what she said about Jiraiya, Inoichi, Danzo, and her old teacher. And one way or another Tsunade was going to find what happened, even if she had to break every bone in their bodies.
*Later-Hokage's Office*
"Now then you three are going to tell me everything I don't know and I swear if I sense even a hint that you're lying or not telling something I will personally grind every bone in your bodies to dust, heal you, then do it again." Tsunade threatened as she glared daggers at Jiraiya, Inoichi, and Danzo, the latter of whom she had already summoned with the threat of being labelled a missing-nin with a kill on sight order
Jiraiya paled knowing the last time Tsunade was this angry was when she caught him peeking on her, Inoichi again didn't react still in a state of depression over the loss of his clan and mental torture of wife and daughter, and Danzo didn't flinch not caring about threats.
"Somebody better start talking before I call Ibiki and Anko in here and let them do whatever the hell they want to you three." Said Tsunade getting impatient
"Okay uh, I guess the place to start would after the Kyuubi attack." Jiraiya said nervously
"Explain now." Demanded Tsunade with narrowed eyes
"Well when sensei and Anbu arrived they saw Minato dead and Kushina nearly dead holding Naruko. I wasn't there personally but from what sensei told me Minato and Kushina had been stabbed by the Kyuubi's claw protecting Naruko, by all rights Kushina should have died but she didn't. Sensei told me that flames started coming off Naruko and healed Kushina to perfect health." Jiraiya explained
"So, Kushina's alive. Then where the hell is she?" Tsunade questioned
"She's dead. He did it." Said Jiraiya pointing to Danzo hoping to shift the blame to him
'I swear I'm going to choke the life out of all of them.' Thought Tsunade wanting nothing more than to wrap her hands around their throats
"Continue." Ordered Tsunade calmly as she worked to control her rising temper
"Anyway Kushina raised Naruko for most of her childhood, protecting her from the villagers that hated her for the Kyuubi. But then strange… accidents started happening to the villagers, people winding up injured by unexplainable accidents, some even died. Most people blamed Naruko due to her being nearby when the accidents happened, sensei didn't think much of it believing the people were just finding things to blame Naruko on. That is until he saw what she could do with his own eyes." Jiraiya said
"Oh really and what exactly could a little girl do that would worry the Hokage?" Said Tsunade rolling her eyes
"How about collapse an entire building with her mind." Answered Jiraiya seriously, Tsunade instantly motioning him to continue
"Again I wasn't there personally and only have Sarutobi-sensei's word, but from what he told me Naruko overheard a group of Chunin talking bad about her and Kushina as they walked into a bar. Next thing anyone knew the entire place came crashing down with everyone inside being crushed to death." Said Jiraiya
"And how did that have anything to do with Naruko?" Tsunade said sure it sounded strange but she didn't see how Naruko was to blame
"Because sensei saw her looking at the building with literal fire in her eyes. No one knew how but she did it." Jiraiya said
"Okay, what happened next?" Questioned Tsunade
"Kushina defended Naruko from anyone that tried blaming her, though sensei believed Kushina was aware of what Naruko could do but protected her anyway. Then a few weeks after Naruko's eighth birthday, Danzo attacked their home with his ROOT and tried taking Naruko to be used to create an army of Ninja with her powers. Kushina killed most of them but when they tried attacking Naruko she took the hits and died not long after." Jiraiya said, Tsunade glaring at Danzo who didn't look the least bit guilty or remorseful of what happened only upset he lost his psychic army
"Me and Sarutobi-sensei arrived in time to see Naruko unleash a large amount of fire, enough to burn down all of Konoha. Sensei had me stop her before she could cause any damage, then had me and Inoichi seal her powers… and her… memories." Said Jiraiya saying the last part nervously seeing Tsunade's entire body shaking in restrained anger
"So, let me guess this straight, you…" Tsunade began pointing at Danzo
"… attacked a mother and daughter just so you could turn a little girl into a weapon you could control and used as breeding stock, then you killed Kushina while her daughter watched. Then you dumbasses…" Said Tsunade turning to Jiraiya and Inoichi
"… helped our idiot of a sensei seal away a little girls memories of the only person who loved her unconditionally, along with her power leaving her completely defenseless in case this bandaged fuck decided to try kidnapping her again. Meaning you not only denied Naruko her vengeance, which she was more than justified in carrying out, but took away everything that made her, her. And now not only do we have super powered teenage girl out for blood but is likely now questioning who she even is, did I get all that?" Tsunade said through gritted teeth, none of them having anything to say
"You complete fucking imbeciles! Because of you we have lost two major clans and will likely use more when Naruko comes back for your heads! You destroyed an innocent girls life for your own selfish reasons, now that same girl has enough power to kill us all, when you could have just let her kill this stupid war hawk and get her vengeance!" Tsunade shouted
"If the girl had just been given to me from the start, she'd still be here and loyal to Konoha." Danzo retorted, Tsunade glaring heatedly at him
"Shut. Up." Said Tsunade through gritted teeth before turning her attention to all three of them
"Let me make this perfectly clear, the only reason I'm not killing you right now is because Naruko is going to do it herself and I don't want to turn her anger to innocent people, though considering her treatment from this village I doubt there are many innocent people left who don't deserve her anger directed at them. Now get the hell out of my office and if any of you even think about running don't even think about coming back cause I will give you to Naruko when she comes for you." Tsunade said
Once the three were out of her office Tsunade slumped into her chair and glared out the window to her late sensei's stone head.
"Are you proud of yourself old man, you ruined a little girls life in defense of someone that should have died long ago. Well I hope you're watching from in the Shinigami's stomach, watching and seeing the consequences of your decision coming back to bite us all in the ass." Tsunade said wishing she could punch her former sensei in the face for his stupidity
Konoha was already vulnerable after Oto/Sun Invasion, now they've lost two clans putting them in an even worse position. Along with the fact they no longer had their Jinchuuriki as well leaving them all but defenseless to any village that has a bone to pick with them.
'Grandfather, what would you think if you saw your village now and all the enemies of our own making.' Tsunade thought wondering what her grandfather would think of all the promising ninja that have gone rogue or sent to their deaths because of Konoha
First being Madara Uchiha her grandfather's best friend and brother in all but blood, he had the power, talent, and charisma to have been Hokage after Hashirama. But thanks to her grand-uncles mistrust of the Uchiha Clan, something he spread to the rest of the village, Madara felt Konoha would lead to his clans destruction and defected. Becoming Konoha's first missing-nin and the most dangerous.
Then Sakumo Hatake, he chose to save his teammates over completing his mission only to be hated by everyone even his own teammates he risked everything to save. He isolated and alone in the village and ultimately took his own life, costing them a powerful Shinobi, one who even rivalled her and her teammates.
Even her own teammate Orochimaru, while he had already started down a dark path due to the death of his parents and the horrors they'd witnessed in the Third Shinobi War lead him to desiring immortality and all the Jutsu in the world. It didn't help when he joined ROOT, something her sensei could have prevented along with helping Orochimaru with his past trauma and the twisted mindset he was developing. Instead her sensei deemed Orochimaru a lost cause and now look what's happened because of Sarutobi's incompetence.
And now Konoha's newest, and potentially the worst, missing-nin Naruko. Tsunade couldn't blame her, hated by the villagers because of the Kyuubi, then forced to watch her own mother die in front of her could drive anyone mad. Then having everything stripped away from her by the leader of the village, her memories, her power, everything taken away all because her sensei had the bright idea to see her as the bad guy when she was just a child seeking vengeance for her mother. All while Danzo got off scot-free for killing a clan head and attempting to kidnap a clan heir, all while ignoring the fact the numerous laws and treaties this violated when Konoha was first set up, even worse as Naruko and Kushina are members of the Uzumaki Clan, the same clan that helped build Konoha with the Uchiha and Senju.
"Grandfather, what would you think if you saw the dream you and Madara fought for, a place where children no longer had to fight and could grow up in peace, had fallen so far." Tsunade said looking to her grandfathers stone face before sighing and looking morosely at Konoha
"Maybe Madara had the right idea, maybe Konoha is nothing but a failed experiment." Muttered Tsunade laughing bitterly at the irony of a Senju agreeing with an Uchiha
Though Tsunade knew one thing, it was only going to get worse from here on out.
