Runaway
I wait patiently for the bell signalling the end of the day to ring. I wait patiently so I can go see you again.
2 minutes left before I'm free.
1 Minute to go.
30 seconds left.
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...0!
Then just as the bell rings I'm already half way out of the class rooms' door and running past students heading to their lockers. Some people tell me to 'Slow Down!' or 'Watch it!' but I don't listen. In fact I go faster. I just want to see you. I get to the front hall and push open the schools doors. I stop in front of the school and look around. I look for those cat like green eyes, those upside down tattooed tears, but what I'm looking for is your bright red hair. It always reminded me of a fire truck. It makes you stand out the most in a crowd. So I look for you, I wait for you here at the school I pray I will never see again. In a town I will never come back to, and as I continue to look for you I hear the sound of your cars purr. I look in the direction I heard the sound coming from and I see you 2004 black convertible. I start running over to the car, pushing past some of the students still around. You get out of the car and I practically leap into your arms. Our embrace didn't last too long for you push me away and tell me to get into the car. I do as you say and get in the car and as we drive away we slowly start to relax a bit. For now we no longer have to worry about others, it's just us now. I love you and I wouldn't be able to live without you, but others don't believe us. So we packed our stuff and left only a single note.
"Goodbye. We've eloped!"
