Just a little something I wrote awhile back...

Stained With the Blood of the Innocent

August 30th, 1939

Ludwig held in face in his hands. Why? he thought miserably. Why did he have to follow this man? A man he, Germany himself did not approve of. The German groaned, sliding his hands down his face. Its not like he could change that now, the man had already been elected Führer a few years ago. Back then he thought the man was alright, a little off but he didn't care. Now he was beginning to question his boss state of mind.

Tomorrow he was to invade Poland, a country that had done nothing to provoke him or his boss. Even though he didn't agree with it Ludwig knew he could not disobey direct orders. All Germany could do was pray, pray that Poland would willingly surrender, and come peacefully. He did not wish any harm to come to the innocent nation if all possible.

A few years ago he and Japan both signed the Anti Comintern pact against the Soviet Union. Germany grimaced, Russia is not going to take this well, he thought.

~Flashback~

November 25th, 1936

Germany walked down the long hallway, his footsteps echoing. He was here to sign a new pact with Japan. He frowned slightly, What is my boss thinking?! Signing some pact that says they think Communists endanger the social well-being and peace of the world? Maybe Communism isn't the best government, but try telling that to China or Russia! he thought bitterly. Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to meet the crimson eyes of his brother.

"Why are you here, bruder?" he asked. In all honesty he didn't know why his brother was here.

The crimson eyed man smirked, "Is the awesomeness that is me not allowed to see his little bruder?" he questioned, walking around to face the German.

"Gilbert stop avoiding the question! Why. Are. You. Here?" Germany growled. He really didn't have time for his brothers antics. Looking down he checked his watch, he only had ten minutes until the meeting.

Prussia sighed, carding a hand through his white hair. "Fine, I'm here to make sure your alright. The Great War ended eighteen years ago, yet you only just recovered. And here you are today going off to sign a document that will most likely lead to another war!" the albino spat.

"You think I don't understand what I'm walking into right now! Huh! I understand perfectly what's going on, I never said I agreed with it though! So why don't you shut your mouth and just leave me alone!" Germany screamed, his bottled up anger exploding.

"Well I'm sorry you feel that way, West. But am I not allowed to be worried about my own bruder?" he whispered, eyes filled with a sadness that only made the German feel guilty of what he had said.

"I-I'm sorry East. I'm just so stressed about this," he sighed, hanging his head slightly.

"I understand what you are going through. My country was built on war, I lived for war. Now I'm not so sure..." Prussia said, putting a hand on the Germans shoulder.

"You nor I can do anything about it, we don't have that kind of free will anymore." Germany pushed past his brother, not bothering to look back at him.

Prussia stood still, a tight frown on his face. "Bruder whoever has caused you to think that way will pay dearly," he promised.

~End of Flashback~

With that on his mind he remembered the new name he had been branded with, Nazi. He hated the way it sounded. Why must it be this way? I want things to be normal again. Playing with the dogs, spending time with Italy, anything but another fucking war! I don't need more blood on my hands...
